Country superstar Tim McGraw released a new album featuring some of his most beloved songs from a very specific period, 2013-2019.

But in trying to figure out what songs to include in his “McGraw Machine Hits” album, he also discussed how a few of them could’ve been singles. The album was released Friday.

In a video clip posted to McGraw’s Twitter account on Sunday, McGraw named those songs:

“Book of John” was part of McGraw’s “Two Lanes of Freedom” album that came out in 2013. The song is about a son going through his father’s scrapbooks the night before his funeral.

“Nashville Without You” is included on the “McGraw Machine Hits” album. It also was on the “Two Lanes of Freedom” album. McGraw told “Billboard” magazine about the song:

“It’s a country lyric, it’s about country music, but there’s a universalism to that melody,” McGraw said. “I wanted that record to have a shimmer to it. Guess the best way to describe it would be an evening looking out on a calm lake, how it shimmers. I love what it says.”

There’s another song from “Two Lanes of Freedom” McGraw would like as a single. That’s “Friend of a Friend.” The narrator of the song is pining for a former girlfriend who moved away. She got married to someone else.

“Sick of Me” is a song on the album “Sundown Heaven Town.” That was McGraw’s 13th studio album. It was released in September 2014.
