What… just happened. Watch as “Willie Nelson” makes his way through the trippy isles and staff of “Omega Mart” in a commercial you’ve got to see to believe.
Ah, the digital age. Where anyone can be… anyone? Some three decades on, the internet is still surprising us every single day. And today, said surprise comes in the form of “Omega Mart.”
So what is “Omega Mart,” you ask? We have no idea. Neither does Willie Nelson, we assume. There is, however, a “very real” commercial for this store – starring Willie himself. Or is it?
“Voted #1 supermarket in the world. Family owned and operated,” the lampooning commercial’s caption states. “The best prices no matter the cost. Omegamart is now open at Area15, Las Vegas!”
Well that’s no suspicious at all, is it? And it only get’s better. Or worse? Both? Watch and decide for yourself as Willie Nelson walks the aisles of “Omega Mart”…
Is That You, Willie Nelson?
“Omega Mart” comes at you courtesy of a company known as Meow Wolf – but we’ll get to that momentarily. First, Willie Nelson fans have to witness this for themselves:

So what, exactly, is “Omega Mart”? After doing some digging, this trippy place is, in fact, an “immersive, interactive experience” built by Meow Wolf for tourists in Las Vegas, Nevada. Whether Willie Nelson himself is actually involved, however, remains to be seen.
According to their official Twitter account, Meow Wolf creates “immersive experiences that transport audiences of all ages into fantastic realms of story & exploration.” It looks like “Omega Mart” is their next stop. It seems they’ve edited Willie’s face onto (many) shoppers in the video, and well, we’re impressed because it’s quite believable.
Moreover, their website states that “Meow Wolf is an arts and entertainment group based in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Meow Wolf was established in 2008 as an art collective.” The company is “comprised of over 200 full-time employees and hundreds of other collaborators, creating and supporting art across a variety of media, including architecture, sculpture, painting, photography, video production, cross-reality (AR/VR/MR), music, audio engineering, narrative writing, costuming, performance, and more.”
In addition, Meow Wolf cites their previous successes through a collaboration with George R. R. Martin, creator of Game of Thrones. “Our first permanent installation, the THEA Award-winning House of Eternal Return, launched in March 2016 with support from Game of Thrones creator, George R.R. Martin. Inside, guests discover a multidimensional mystery house with secret passages, portals to magical worlds, and an expansive narrative amidst surreal, maximalist, and mesmerizing art exhibits.”
Perhaps, then, they have actually brought Willie Nelson onboard for this insane project? I suppose we’ll know once the “exhibit” opens!
