What Pushed Reba McEntire to Release Her Upcoming Box Set, ‘Revived Remixed Revisited’

Following the news that she is releasing her triple album, Revived Remixed Revisited, country legend Reba McEntire is now opening up about what pushed her into wanting to release the compilation. 

During a recent interview with Variety, Reba McEntire shared more details about the concept of the album. “I’ve been continuing to make new albums, and we really haven’t spent the time to slow down enough to resist and work the catalog,” the country singer proclaims. She also says that she wants to remind her fans of what she and her crew have done over the years. 

“I’m really a forward thinker, so that was a little out of my realm,” Reba McEntire states. She then admits that it was UMG Nashville’s President, Cindy Mabe, who came up with the concept of Revived Remixed Revisited. “I was thrilled that they wanted to spend that much time and attention on my catalog.”

Reba McEntire then reflects on the album’s progress and what she and her team thought about naming it. “With it turning out to be three different albums, we started talking about what are we going to call this? ‘Reba Does It Again’ or ‘Reba Sings ‘Em Again’? And this title was very clever, I thought.”

As previously reported, Reba McEntire took to her Instagram account on Thursday to share a few of the hits that would be featured in the upcoming album. The songs are I’m a SurvivorConsider Me Goneand Is There Life Out There? Other media outlets predict that You Keep Me Hangin’ On and Fancy are also on the album. The album is will hit stores on October 8th. Reba’s fans may also now pre-order the album as well. 

Reba Opens Up About Being One of Hardest Working Women in Music

While chatting with Parade in 2020, Reba McEntire shares why she’s been named one of the most hard-working women in the music business.

“Well, it was my responsibility. It was my duty, Because Minnie Pearl, Kitty Wells, Loretta Lynn, Dolly Parton, Anne Murray opened the doors for me and all of the female singers in my generation to be able to step on that stage.”

Reba McEntire then states everybody and every decade improved as well as helped pave the way for current female singers.

“So that was my responsibility. That was my duty. That was my job. To make it easier for the girls whoa re going to be singing in the next four or five thousand decades past me.”

Reba McEntire Teams Up With Dolly Parton For New Song 

During a recent appearance on Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen, Dolly Parton revealed that she and Reba McEntire teamed up for a song on the new album.

“We redid the song ‘Does He Love You’ that she did years and years ago,” Dolly shares. “We did a new version of it. It turned out really good because I always wanted to sing with her and don’t know why we never did it until now.” 

Reba McEntire originally sang the song with Linda Davis in 1993. Dolly says she and Reba sounded really good together. “I think the fans are gonna like it,” she proclaims.
