Last year’s Farm Aid took place virtually due to the global COVID-19 pandemic. This year, the popular benefit concert will take place in front of a live audience. And, it’s returning with a fantastic lineup of artists.

According to Jam Base, Farm Aid 2021 will be held on Sept. 25. The site of the concert will take place in Hartford, Connecticut, at the Xfinity Theatre.

Of course, one of the stars who will perform at this year’s staging of the benefit concert is country music icon, Willie Nelson. Also performing during the event will be the legendary Neil Young. John Mellencamp, as well as Dave Matthews – with his fellow bandmate, Tim Reynolds – will also take the stage.

It shouldn’t come as a surprise that Nelson, Young, Mellencamp, and Matthews will perform at this year’s Farm Aid. They are the driving forces behind the benefit concert, according to the organization’s website. Farm Aid was first held in 1985. It was Nelson, Young, and Mellencamp who made the concert a reality. Matthews joined the effort during 2001 and became a member of the Farm Aid Board of Directors.

Since that first concert in 1985, the organization has collected $60 million to help farmers in the United States of America.

Willie Nelson, Neil Young, John Mellencamp, and Dave Matthews are enough on their own to draw a great crowd to Farm Aid 2021. However, those who plan to attend can expect a whole lot more. It’s a concert you won’t want to miss.

The lineup also includes Sturgill Simpson, Tyler Childers, Margo Price (who is also a Farm Aid board member), Nathaniel Rateliff and The Night Sweats, Bettye Lavette, Jamey Johnson, Lukas Nelson and Promise of the Real, Allison Russell, Particle Kid, and Ian Mellencamp.

There will be some tickets available during a presale that will begin at 10 a.m. ET on Wednesday, July 21. The general public may purchase tickets for Farm Aid 2021 in Hartford Connecticut on Friday, July 23, at 10 a.m. ET. Tickets will sell for $65 up to $305. They can be purchased at LiveNation.com.

In addition to raising funds for farmers, the organization assists them in other ways. These include highlighting the foods raised on family farms, establishing new food markets, helping farm families in dire need, and battling for policies that help family farms.

Throughout its also 40 years in existence, there have been many great performances take place at Farm Aid. These have included performances by such stars as Loretta Lynn, Keith Urban, Kris Kristofferson, Tanya Tucker, Garth Brooks, Jamey Johnson, Brooks & Dunn, and Alan Jackson.

No doubt, the 2021 benefit concert will have many memorable moments!
