Zac Brown Band Encourage Fans to Spread ‘Extra Love to Our Nation’s Heroes’

Zac Brown Band has never been shy about expressing his support for the United States military. He did just that once again on Tuesday morning.

If you’ve ever attended a Zac Brown Band concert, you have without a doubt seen his support for members of the armed forces in a very authentic and public way. Every time “Chicken Fried” is played, Zac and the band invite a local member of the military to the stage to honor them and the sacrifices they have made for our country. It’s always an emotional moment in front of tens of thousands of cheering fans.

Zac took to social media on Tuesday morning to ask his fans to show some love for our military members. He gave them a link to Camp Southern Ground’s website, an organization that helps veterans transition into civilian life after military service.

“Spreading some extra love to our nation’s heroes and kids feels like one of the very best things we can do right now,” Zac Brown Band wrote on Twitter. “Music and love bring us together, but connectedness changes us for the better. 2 days left! Give today at http://campsoutherground.org/bettertogether”

Camp Southern Ground says their mission to honor those who’ve served our country is more important than ever.

“We were able to re-open our veteran programs this fall with your help. Now, your gift by 12/31 is tax-deductible and will be MATCHED to help us reach more veterans in 2021,” the organization wrote on Twitter.

Zac Brown Band Teams Up With Polaris Off Road

Zac Brown Band teamed up with Polaris Off Road last night to benefit the Camp Southern Ground.

They are dedicating their performance to Camp Southern Ground and the “Proud American Thank You” initiative is the focus.

It has no doubt been a long-time coming since the initiative began on Veterans’ Day. The virtual concert took place last night with all donations going to Camp Southern Ground’s veterans’ programs.

Meanwhile, the best part of the concert is that Polaris will match each dollar. The company says they will match up to $25,000 donated by the public during the band’s performance. The year-end gift is tax-deductible and Polaris will match the money if the donations are given by Dec. 31.

“Teaming up with Polaris to raise money to support veteran programs at Camp Southern Ground is a privilege not being taken for granted,” said Mike Dobbs, CEO of Camp Southern Ground. “Our goal with the ‘Proud American Thank You’ is to raise funds to continue to provide that programming at no cost to veterans.”
