The Zac Brown Band announced that they would be hitting the road again back in August. At that time, Brown said they felt “incredibly blessed,” to have the chance to share new music with their fans.

If they felt incredibly blessed about going back on the road, the Zac Brown Band is probably over the moon right now. Earlier today, they announced via social media that they would open for legendary rockers The Rolling Stones.

In the tweet, the Zac Brown Band said, “Couldn’t be more honored to warm up the stage for The Rolling Stones.” They’ll take the stage at Atlanta’s Mercedes-Benz Stadium on November 11th.

The Rolling Stones kick off their No Filter tour on Sunday, September 26th. This tour comes after the tragic loss of their longtime drummer Charlie Watts. Steve Jordan, who was Watts’ understudy will sit behind the kit for the tour. They’re still days away from starting. However, they played an invite-only event at Gillette Stadium on Monday. If there was any doubt about their sound without Watts, some clandestine videos taken at the show prove that they’re still at the top of their game.

The Zac Brown Band Make a Comeback

The Zac Brown Band will drop their next album The Comeback on October 15th. They’ll start playing live shows in support of the album again about two weeks before it drops. However, “Comeback,” isn’t just the name of the album and the tour. It marks a shift back to the band’s roots.

Zac Brown Band drew criticism with their most recent release The Owl, fans didn’t care for it. Then, Brown struck out on his own in other genres. He found no real success there. At the same time, he seemed to have a chip on his shoulder about it. With all that in mind, they went back to what worked for them.

Chicken Fried,” put the Zac Brown Band on the map. As a result, fans have come to expect that from them. Those who have heard the handful of singles from The Comeback know that they’re moving back to what made them big.

About the album, Zac Brown said, “The Comeback celebrates our collective resilience as a community. This music is about standing together and rediscovering our roots and what makes us human.”

For instance, take a look at their most recent single “Fun Having Fun,” which dropped last week. Sonically, they’re blending bluegrass with the red dirt sound that made them famous. Lyrically, the Zac Brown Band blends relatable lyrics with, well, fun. It’s a toe-tapper that will put a smile on your face which makes it instantly comparable to their signature tune, “Chicken Fried.” We’re certainly looking forward to The Comeback.
