Cracker Barrel Releases Prime Rib, More Heat n’ Serve Meals in New Easter Menu

Cracker Barrel is rolling out some new menu items for the spring season.

While several other restaurants and fast-food chains have had to cut down on their menu sizes, Cracker Barrel is looking to give people a few new things to look forward to. For those who celebrate the Easter holiday, there will be new meals and gifting options as well.

Cracker Barrel in the Spring

According to PR Newswire, Cracker Barrel will be starting its “Spring Into the Season” campaign. This will include a new Prime Rib Heat n’ Serve meal that can be made at home. The meal can serve four to six people and cooks for about three hours.

In addition, the Easter Heat n’ Serve meal is also returning to the menu. This customer-favorite will now come in a feast size and family dinner size. It can be purchased between April 2- April 4.

Cracker Barrel is helping make changes that encourage people to stay home and stay safe. Meanwhile, people can still enjoy food surrounded by family.

The company is also releasing Baskets for Every Occasion, which is a new gifting option that will be available in stores. People can pick any item to be the base, then Cracker Barrel includes specific items relevant to the occasion.

“This year, we’re especially excited to offer families our Prime Rib Heat n’ Serve Family Dinner option for the first time, allowing our guests a way to elevate special gatherings at home at a fair price,” said Cracker Barrel Senior Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer Jennifer Tate.

Cracker Barrel also serves other boxed meals for people to take and go.

Restaurants Adapt During Pandemic

Cracker Barrel isn’t the only restaurant looking to offer more options for those staying home. It’s been about learning how to pivot during these challenging times.

During warmer weather restaurants had outdoor dining. There has also been a huge surplus in take-out ordering instead of sitting down to eat. This means that both fast-food and other food establishments have had to reduce menu items to focus on speed.

This focus on pickup and delivery likely isn’t going anywhere.

According to QSR Magazine, 53% of adults are now saying that takeout or delivery food is essential to the way they now live. The increase in curbside, digital, and delivery orders that became essential for businesses to survive is just as important to the customers.

There is also 69% of family dining restaurants that have a larger portion of their sales going toward off-premise purchases.

This means that places like Cracker Barrel will need to continue creating food that will appeal to those looking to eat at home.
