Danny Masterson is back on social media after being charged with rape. On Wednesday, the star of “The Ranch” took to Instagram to share a photo of his meal for the evening.

The 44-year-old actor shared the snap with the simple caption, “Afternoon.” The picture shows a bottle of wine paired with a bowl of pasta.

After sharing the photo thousands of fans showered the post with likes and many others took to the comments section. While some fans commented on the content of the photo, one Instagram user took the opportunity to call out Masterson on the rape charges. “Why’d you do what you did to those girls Danny?” the user writes.

A number of Masterson’s supporters and critics weighed in. Some stood up for Masterson while others found the question warranted. “We are here to support Danny,” one user writes. “Take your negative comments somewhere else. If your (sic) not a fan and have something positive to offer…why are you even here?”

“We don’t know if he did it or not,” another user commented. “I’m not defending him if he did, and I’m not saying he didn’t do it because I truly don’t know. However, the last time he was accused of something like this, the charges were dropped due to lack of evidence. Let’s just wait for the verdict if it goes to trial.”

Danny Masterson Initially Returned to Instagram with Pee-Wee Herman Video

Over the last couple of weeks, Masterson came back to social media with several posts. His first post following the rape charges was a clip of Pee-Wee Herman. This marked the first time Masterson’s fans heard from him since June 11. Other recent posts include a snap showing support for those affected by the explosion in Beirut in addition to another post showing a piece of art.

Documents from the Los Angeles County DA detail the accusations against Masterson. He was formally charged in mid-June with forcibly raping three women between 2001 and 2003.

The court also noted that the DA’s Office declined to file two additional sexual assault charges against Masterson. The DA declined one for lack of evidence while the other had a conflict regarding the statute of limitations on the alleged crime.

The former “That 70s Show” star is a well-known member of the Church of Scientology. Some allege that the Church tried to cover up the allegations against Masterson.

Three women filed a civil suit against Masterson and the church. The women were former Scientologists. The accusers claim the church harassed them after telling the authorities what happened.

Stewart Ryan, an attorney for the civil suit, spoke out about the complaint while speaking with Page Six. “It is alleged [in the suit] that our clients reported the sexual assaults to Scientology at the times that they happened,” Ryan said. “It is alleged in the suit that Scientology attempted to cover up the sexual assaults.”

The church denies all claims against them.
