“Beth and I would like to share that after much reflection we have made the decision to consciously uncoupled,” the former couple wrote following a picture of them at the 2019 CMA Awards. At the same time, the couple plan to continue their friendship and co-parenting. “We remain close friends and parenting partners and continue to be each other’s biggest cheerleaders,” they emphasized.

Darius and Beth share two children together, daughter Daniella Rose and son Jack. Darius has a daughter, Caroline, from a previous relationship.

“Our priority will always be our beautiful family,” they continued. “We have so much love in our hearts for each other and will continue to encourage growth and expansion in one other. Please be kind as we take on this journey, and we thank you for your love and support always,” the two concluded.

All About Darius and Beth’s Relationship

The couple has been vocal about their love and respect for one another. Over the years, they’ve kept their private life, private aside from the occasional interview.

“Beth’s a strong woman,” Darius told The Boot in an earlier interview. “It takes a strong woman to be married to a musician, especially a musician who was drinking and partying as hard as I was, and I think life for us is where we are now. It took a long time for us to get to where we are now, and we say to each other all the time, ‘I love us. I love our family. I love us.'”

Furthermore, the former couple met while Darius was in Hootie and The Blowfish. Beth was working in VH1 in New York when they first crossed paths. “I don’t know what it was about her,” Rucker told Country Fancast. “I mean, it was EVERYTHING about her. I told her I was going to marry her on our first date.”
