President Donald Trump is updating the United States of America from Walter Reed Military Medical Center.

Trump is currently staying at Walter Reed after being diagnosed with COVID-19 late Thursday evening. Trump, alongside first lady Melania Trump, is among several White House staff battling the novel coronavirus.

Now, the President is providing his own update on Twitter after entering the hospital on Friday.

“I want to begin by thanking all of the incredible medical professionals, the doctors, the nurses, everybody at Walter Reed Medical Center, I think it’s the finest in the world, for the incredible job they’re doing,” he said.

“I came here,” Trump said. “Wasn’t feeling so well, feeling much better now. We’re working hard to get me all the way back, I have to be back because we still have to make America great again, we’ve done an awfully good job of that, but we still have steps to go. We have to finish that job. I think I’ll be back soon.”

Furthermore, Trump makes a point to also mention the world’s dealing with COVID-19.

“This was something that happened,” Trump said. “And it’s something that’s happened to millions of people all over the world and I’m fighting for them, not just in the US, fighting for them all over the world. We’re going to beat this coronavirus, whatever you want to call it, and we’re going to beat it soundly.”

Donald Trump Chief of Staff and Navy Commander Updates

Alongside Trump’s personal video, there are also frequent updates being provided by his administration. White House Chief of Staff Mark Meadows continues to speak on the state of Trump’s recovery, saying Saturday that the President is “still not on a clear path yet to a full recovery.” Meadows’ words differ from Trump’s, who reiterated throughout Saturday evening’s video that he is on his way to recovery.

Contrarily to Meadows and Trump, Navy Commander Dr. Sean Conley gives a different report. According to the Associated Press, Conley is belaying information and refusing to share info on whether the President needed supplemental oxygen.

“Thursday no oxygen. None at this moment,” he said. “And yesterday with the team, while we were all here, he was not on oxygen.”

The team of doctors also state that Trump’s vital organs are performing well, and that Trump has high morale.

“He’s in exceptionally good spirits.”
