On Tuesday afternoon, President Donald Trump’s son, Donald Trump Jr., tweeted a message to voters on Election Day asking them to stay in line and vote as if their “freedom depends on it.”
The Philly GOP Twitter account posted that tons of people showed up to the polls to vote for President Trump. But, as impressive of a turnout as it is, the polling lines had a four-hour wait.
“So many people are showing up to vote for @realDonaldTrump in New Hanover, there’s a 4 hour wait at the polls!” Philly GOP tweeted. “Incredible turnout in Montgomery County! @MontcoPaGOP @PAGOP #PAforTrump”
Additionally, Trump Jr. retweeted the group’s post and pleaded with voters to stay in line. The president’s son added his own message for voters.
“Don’t leave. Stay in line like your freedom depends on it… because it does,” he wrote.
Trump Jr. is hoping that the long wait times will not discourage voters from casting their ballot for his father. He even said voters’ freedom depends on it.
