Donald Trump Jr. says he was not coked up during his address at the Republican National Convention on Monday. The jury appears to still be out.

Many people watching his speech on Monday were put off by his apparent red glassy eyes and sweaty brow. It didn’t help that his girlfriend Kimberly Guilfoyle basically screamed at the camera for 20 minutes earlier in the night.

The convention ended last night as president Trump formally accepted his party’s nomination.

Trump Jr. went on “Fox & Friends” on Wednesday morning to try and plead his case.

“I guess there must have been something with the lighting,” Trump Jr said on the show. “When they can’t attack the delivery, when they can’t attack the substance, they gotta attack something. They started doing this tending thing – ‘Donald Trump Jr’s on cocaine’ and all of that – I said, no no no, you have me confused with Hunter Biden.”

Hunter Biden is Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden‘s son. He has openly discussed his problems with drug addiction.

Comedian Stephen Colbert of CBS’s “The Late Show” was one of many who asked if Trump Jr had partaken in any drugs prior to his speech.

“It was his keynote address, in that he looked like he had snorted a key,” Colbert said. “So before I tell you what he said, can we zoom in on Junior’s sweaty face and wet, bloodshot eyes? Either he’s high or that’s what happens when you live in the splash zone of Screamin’ Guilfoyle. Just bring a poncho!”
