Donald Trump Jr. Thanks ‘Incredible Men and Woman’ Who Serve Our Country on Veterans Day

Donald Trump Jr. is one of many political figures to thank the country’s veterans on Wednesday via social media. Using his Twitter account, he wishes a happy Veterans Day to all men and women of the armed forces.

“Happy Veterans Day to all the incredible men and women who have served our country to preserve our freedoms and to fight for liberty,” he says, “Thank you for your service.”

Trump Jr. joins a lengthy list of public figures saluting America’s servicemen and women. He once made waves for comparing business sacrifices to sacrifices made by war veterans.

Trump Sr. Also Recognizes Veterans

Trump Jr.’s father also paid homage to fallen soldiers by visiting Arlington National Cemetery and issuing a proclamation.

In the presidential proclamation, Trumps says the country is forever indebted to members of the armed forces.

“America’s veterans have fought to defend our country, its values, and its interests since the first days of our founding. They have defeated tyrants, eliminated terrorists, and secured freedom at home and abroad. Their courage and fortitude in the face of adversity serve as an example for all Americans. On Veterans Day, we pause to pay tribute to all who have proudly worn our Nation’s uniform. These Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen, Marines, and Coast Guardsmen selflessly placed lives, well‑being, and security of others before their own. We enjoy the privileges of peace, prosperity, and freedom because of our veterans, and we are forever indebted to them beyond measure,” the proclamation states.

The Trumps are far from the only political figures to pay tribute to the nation’s military veterans via social media. President-elect Joe Biden also took the time to offer a tribute to those who have worn the uniform.

“Today, we honor the service of those who have worn the uniform of the Armed Forces of the United States,” Joe Biden writes. To our proud veterans — I will be a commander in chief who respects your sacrifice, understands your service and will never betray the values you fought so bravely to defend.”
