Donald Trump Jr. is praising right-wing activist Candace Owens for tweeting a defamatory picture of former president Bill Clinton.
Her post comes while she garners the spotlight after making comments about Harry Styles wearing a dress on the cover of Vogue.
The Tweet of Bill Clinton
Saturday, Owens wrote “There is no society that can survive without strong men … bring back manly men.”
Many negative comments came from celebrities and politicians alike, except for Trump Jr.
Owens’ posted a picture in which Bill Clinton wears a dress and red high heels while lounging in a chair. Underneath the photo, she wrote:
“Since I’m trending I’d like to clarify what I meant when I said “bring back manly men”. I meant: Bring back manly men. Terms like “toxic masculinity”, were created by toxic females. Real women don’t do fake feminism. Sorry I’m not sorry.”
Donald Trump Jr. Shares the Post
The President’s son retweeted Owens’ post before uploading it to his Instagram account. His retweet said, “You’re never going to convince me this isn’t peak masculinity.”
What Does the Painting Represent?
The photo on the Twitter post is an actual painting of former President Bill Clinton, and the blue dress and red heels contain references to scandals.
The dress he’s wearing is similar to that of Monica Lewinsky’s. Additionally, the red heels represent those found hanging in the New York City mansion of disgraced financier Jeffrey Epstein.
Trump has previously implied former President Bill Clinton was linked to multimillionaire Jeffrey Epstein’s death.
Epstein was arrested on claims the financier was running a prostitution ring of underage girls from his residence near Central Park. Both Donald Trump and Bill Clinton knew Epstein well.
Reactions to Donald Trump Jr. and Candace Owens
