If you have wondered what a delicious donut would taste like with a dash of painfully hot ghost pepper would be like, Dunkin’ Donuts will soon have an answer for you.

According to Fox News, Dunkin’ Donuts is releasing their newest, spiciest donut today (Wednesday) along with other Halloween treats.

“A donut…but make it spicy,” the store’s twitter page says. “Introducing the spicy ghost pepper donut featuring strawberry icing with cayenne and ghost pepper. Grab one and show your spicy side.”

A statement from the company says the donut is made with classic yeast and topped with strawberry icing that is mixed with the peppers and is then topped with red sanding sugar.

The Spicy Ghost Pepper Donut will be on the menu for only a short time. It will be available beginning today (Wednesday) for a limited time at participating Dunkin’ restaurants nationwide until December, according to a press release from the donut shop.

“Halloween looks a little different this year, and so do our donuts,” says Jill Nelson, Vice President, Marketing Strategy at Dunkin’. “While our classic bakery offering has plenty of crave-worthy treats, we’re excited to show our spicy side with a donut that packs a touch of heat with something sweet and can be enjoyed any time of day.”

Dunkin’ Fan Talk New Donut

Social Media reactions to the new donut have been mixed. Many say they will try it and others saying that wouldn’t dare.

“Well now I’m gonna have to get them,” one Tweeter writes.

Others were understandably skeptical of a donut containing one of the hottest peppers known to man.

“That is gonna be a no for me,” another Twitter user says.

Dunkin’ also announced they are teaming up with “Hot Ones” host Sean Evans to promote their newest creation. A special edition of Hot Ones will hit YouTube on October 19.
