Even celebrities get star-struck sometimes. And the results can be hilarious. That was certainly the case for country superstar Tim McGraw and actor Chris Pratt.
Pratt shared what it was like meeting one of his lifelong celebrities heroes, Tim McGraw, during an interview on “Late Night with Seth Meyers.” McGraw recently came across the video and decides to hilariously respond to Pratt’s memory of meeting him.
“So I ran across this video with Chris Pratt,” said McGraw in a post on Instagram. McGraw then shared a side-by-side video of himself watching the video with Chris Pratt.
“This is my chance to talk to Tim McGraw” says Pratt in the video. And he catches me staring at him a couple of times. And he had performed a song that night. So I said, ‘Hey Tim, great song tonight.’ And he’s like, ‘Thank you…’ and he was kind of like ‘I’m gonna avoid you, you might be a weirdo.’ And I was like, ‘I’m just a huge fan. Huge fan of both of you.’ And he was like, ‘Thank you. Thank you.’ And then I said ‘I’m wearing your cologne,'” said Pratt with a laugh.
It took a couple of seconds for the awkwardness of that comment to sink in. But once he realized, Pratt was mortified.
“And I’m not sure if he was just like being polite but he was like, ‘Aw, Thank you.’ And then there was that moment where I was like, ‘Oh no! I’m wearing your cologne?! Oh no! No! Gut-wrenchingly embarrassing,” said Pratt.
Tim McGraw laughed through the whole video. But he did offer a small correction.
“So he got it a little bit wrong,” said McGraw. “Because I’m a big fan of his as well. So, I was probably catching glimpses of him and everybody else. It wasn’t quite as one-sided as he’s saying it was. And he did smell pretty good by the way.”
Chris Pratt Named His Pigs After Tim McGraw and Faith Hill
By now, it’s pretty obvious that Christ Pratt is a big Tim McGraw fan. But his super-fan status went next-level last year when Pratt turned 40. His wife, Katherine Schwarzenegger, gifted him with two Cooney Cooney pigs to ring in the celebration. And can you guess what Pratt named his pigs? Well, we told you in the headline, so if you couldn’t guess, then something is wrong.
“They are called Tim and Faith. And they are, obviously, based on the beautiful love story of the two country artists Tim McGraw and Faith Hill,” said Pratt during an interview on “The Ellen Show.’ “And if you look, you kind of see that there’s palpable chemistry between the two. They’re brother and sister but that doesn’t matter in the pig world. That’s okay. That’s not illegal in the pig world.”
