’19 Kids and Counting’ Star Joy-Anna Duggar Takes in the Great Outdoors with Family Amid Family Turmoil

Despite the current issues that have the Duggar family in hot water, Joy-Anna Duggar has taken a step back and hit the great outdoors.

The Duggar family is back in the headline after the oldest 19 Kids and Counting star Josh Duggar was arrested on April 29th. He is being charged with two counts of receiving and possessing child pornography. The children in the photos were around the age of his own children. A judge will release him on bail today.

Josh has pleaded “not guilty” to the charges. His trial will begin on July 6th. If convicted, Josh Duggar faces up to 20 years in prison for the serious charges.

The reality star and his wife, Anna, have recently shared the news that they are expecting baby number seven. The unborn daughter will join Mackynzie, 11, Michael, 9, Marcus, 7, Meredith, 5, Mason, 3, and Maryella, 17 months.

In 2015, news broke that Josh Duggar had sexually molested five girls in 2002 and 2003. Four of those women were his younger sisters, including Jessa Duggar, Jill Duggar, Joy-Anna Duggar, and Jinger Duggar reports Meaww.

Joy-Anna Duggar Steps Away From Family Drama

While some family members have come forward with statements on their brothers’ arrest, Joy-Anna Duggar has taken a break from everything with a trip to the outdoors.

Joy-Anna Duggar, her husband Austin Forsyth, and their three-year-old son Gideon have taken a trip away from flashing cameras and interviews. Joy-Anna posted an Instagram photo of the smiling family on Wednesday. The pictures include Austin teaching Gideon how to fish and the three hiking.

She captioned the beautiful images, “Adventuring together.”

With nearly one million followers on Instagram, many flooded the comment section with support in response to the family turmoil.

“Proud of you for doing what you need to do during these trying times,” said one fan. Another responded, saying, “Best place to be at this moment. My thoughts and prayers are with you.”

On April 27th, prior to any issue involving her brother, Joy-Anna made another post about a camping trip she attended with her in-laws.

“We just got home from our camping trip with Austin’s family, and we had the best time! Fishing, fires, family kickball, walks, bike riding, outdoor movie night, Dr. Pepper (Thanks to Meme), and just chilling in our camping chairs for hours. I love being outdoors.”

We do too! A little fresh air is the perfect escape.
