Bear Brown is channeling his late father, Billy Brown, in a recent inspirational Instagram post. The family patriarch from “Alaskan Bush People” passed away in early February after suffering from a seizure.

Bear Brown Remembers His Father

Since then, Bear Brown has frequently mentioned memories of his father on his public Instagram account. He recently wrote, “I miss you Da! I’m trying to be the best I can and remember everything you taught me! As you once said! As long as I stay true to God I can’t fail! I wish you were here!!!!! I will always remember you! And always miss you!!! More Da I love you!”

The family helped to honor their father less than a month after his passing in a special tribute. It was called “The Legacy of Billy Brown.”

“On this episode of ‘Alaskan Bush People,’ the extraordinary life of Billy Brown — a father, a husband, and the leader of the Pack. Through never-before-seen interviews and moments with Billy, the family reflects on their patriarch, a man guided by his faith and a thrill for adventure. He is the heart and soul of the Wolfpack,” the episode starts with a voiceover.

All of his children share some of their memories of Billy Brown. That includes Rain, Snowbird, Bear, Matt, Bam Bam, Gabe, and Noah.

You can watch the episode, as well as other clips, on Discovery Go.

‘Alaskan Bush People’ Brown Estate Issues

According to Popculture, Billy Brown did not have an updated will prior to his passing. That means that his wife, Ami Brown, will be overlooking the estate. His assets have been estimated at around $439,000, with $415,000 spread across different properties. His household items were at $10,000 and livestock was at $12,000. The overall net value is $412,000.

Matt Brown recently went on a video rant where he accused his family, mostly his father, of several different allegations. One of which was related to the money the family made from the show.

“We made a lot of money off of the show. But because my dad controlled everything, all of the money went to him… I didn’t have any money or anything. My dad kept that all,” Matt Brown said.

He claims that he is now struggling financially without a steady source of income.

Bear Brown then responded, “I would like to set the record straight about the things my older brother has posted, none of it is true! It’s heartbreaking that he would say such horrible lies about Da just a few months after he passed away! I pray he can find the peace and serenity in his life that he needs. God bless everyone!”

Matt Brown has not been on great terms with his family in recent years. He left “Alaskan Bush People” after multiple women accused him of sexual assault. He also had a history of substance abuse issues. Now, he continues to be on the outs, especially after his video allegations targeting the family a few months after Billy Brown’s death.
