While the family lived off the land, the Alaskan Bush People weren’t exactly hurting for money. The now-famous Discovery stars made a pretty penny for the show that focuses on living off the grid.

How much is each family member making off the Discovery show?

The Brown family consists of the late Billy Brown, who died earlier this month due to a seizure, his wife, Ami, and their seven children. They include Matt, Bam Bam, Bear, Gabe, Noah, Bird, and Rain.

Alaskan Bush People Net Worth

With that many mouths to feed and 12 seasons of filming the hit show, you would think the family was doing pretty well for themselves. You would be correct.

According to Screen Rant, the Alaskan Bush People have a net worth of around $60 million. In addition, the Brown family received a check from each episode and has money coming in from other outside sources.

Each family member gets a different cut of the earring, however. Billy Brown, the family patriarch, was racking in nearly $500,000 for each episode prior to his sudden death. It is reported that the rest of the family dwindled in comparison to Billy, with a mere $40,000 to $60,000.

Furthermore, the oldest son on Alaskan Bush People, Matt, was cut from the show along with his paycheck. He allegedly was tired of life in the wilderness and traded it in for a spot in the city.

Although we prefer the outdoors to city life, I don’t know how well I would do foraging for food every day.

One should also note that when Ami was unfortunately diagnosed with cancer, the family sought out the experts in California. They also resided in a humble $2.7 million Beverly Hills mansion while Ami underwent treatment.

No amount of money can protect you from Mother Nature, however. After a grueling set of wildfires, the Alaskan Bush People had to set their livestock free. They lost almost all their buildings to the blaze as well- probably costing a few pretty pennies.

It is still unknown if the show is signing for another season, given that many of the children have moved away. Discovery Channel has yet to announce a release date for season 13 at this time for Alaskan Bush People.
