‘Alaskan Bush People’: How Much Was the Brown’s 30-Acre Alaskan Property Worth?

The show may still be called “Alaskan Bush People,” but as fans may know, the Brown family left the state back in 2017 for greener pastures.

Amid Ami Brown’s cancer, the family relocated down to Washington state instead. So, what exactly happened to the sprawling property the family left behind? Well, the Brown family’s property went up for sale back in 2019. And well, it had a massive price tag to go along with that massive sprawl.

According to the Sun, the Brown family listed their property on Zillow for $795,000. You would have to be almost a millionaire to afford the land. But buyers would get quite the bang for their buck. The almost 30-acre property (29.11) featured heavily on “Alaskan Bush People” in its earlier seasons.

Centered on the land are all of the Browns’ individual houses. There was the main house for instance. But the Brown children also built their own property as well. The land was located in Chichagoff Island, about 14 miles from Hoonah, Alaska.

Since then, the listing has been removed. So maybe, someone ponied up the money to buy the land.

‘Alaskan Bush People’ Reportedly Owned a Mansion

Well, the “Alaskan Bush People” stars certainly upgraded their living expenses since then. That’s if reports can be believed. The Brown family reportedly owned a gigantic Beverly Hills Mansion in California. The reality stars moved from Washington to California in 2017. During the time period, Ami battled lung cancer, and the Browns wanted to be close to UCLA Medical Center.

In fact, the mansion resides in the Beverly Glen area, which is close to the hospital. The Brown family reportedly purchased the $2.7 million mansion during the time period. The mansion included five bedrooms, four bathrooms, and a master suite as well. While it’s not 30 acres, it included a large backyard as well as a jacuzzi and in-ground pool as well.

It wasn’t the first time the family got a taste of the good life. The “Alaskan Bush People” stars rented a mansion briefly in 2016. So fast forward to 2021, do the Browns still own the mansion? There have been some conflicting reports on where the Browns currently stay these days. According to Pop Culture, the Browns reportedly lives on 435-acres in Washington’s North Cascade Mountains since 2018. Likewise, Matt Brown flew the coop and is currently estranged from the family.

Currently, Ami’s cancer is in remission. But the Brown family faced a tragedy earlier this year. They lost their patriarch Billy Brown. Billy’s death sent the family and fans of the show reeling. It’s hard to imagine “Alaskan Bush People” without him at the center.
