‘Alaskan Bush People’: Season 13 Trailer Shows Glimpse of Billy Brown’s Funeral and Final Scenes in Show

September 19 will find the Brown family return to the screen on “Alaskan Bush People.” With the family still reeling from the unexpected death of patriarch Billy Brown, the entire new season has been dedicated to his memory. The show’s official Instagram account shared a trailer for the upcoming episodes. While much of the filming appears to have taken place while Billy was still alive, the end of the promotional video show glimpses of the Browns putting him to rest.

Fans will remember that the Brown family patriarch and mind behind “Alaskan Bush People” passed away in February. He suffered a seizure and was unresponsive after multiple CPR attempts. For such a tight-knit family unit, the loss was devastating.

“Looking back, Dad knew his time in this world was coming to an end, and we can see now he was laying out a plan for us, preparing us to achieve the vision,” she explained. “If only we understood his plan sooner,” Snowbird said in the video.

While the majority of the trailer shows par for the course “Alaskan Bush People” activities, it’s underscored by Billy Brown’s tragic death. At one point, we hear Gabe Brown make the 911 call on what we can only assume is the night of his father’s death. Then, the end of the trailer features a shot of the family carrying a coffin through the snow.

“We all have to find our peace with what’s happened somehow,” said Ami Brown, the matriarch of the family. “You have to go where the road calls you.”

Some ‘Alaskan Bush People’ Fans Are Less Than Pleased With the Treatment of Matt Brown

“Alaskan Bush People” fans are likely familiar with the ongoing feud between Matt Brown and the rest of his family. He publicly claimed that he had been cut out of money from the show due to his past struggles with substance abuse. Matt also claimed that the lifestyle the Brown’s depicted on the show for years was contrived. He has been on bad terms with his mom and siblings ever since.

Some fans don’t like how the family has treated Matt, regardless of who’s to blame.

“I’ve watched this show since the first season. I won’t this year due to the treatment of Matt and the family’s credibility,” one Instagram user commented on the trailer.

“Going let Matt back on the show? And claim what was rightfully his? Or will the scam keep running!” another added.

“Will you stop treating Matt like s**t and give him whats rightfully his? Sorry for the loss of your dad, but you need to stop being so hateful to your brother,” a frustrated fan wrote.
