Alaskan Bush People star Matt Brown is sharing with his Instagram followers more details about his new land. In his latest post, the Alaskan Bush People alum takes his followers on a four-wheeler tour of the land, with the caption, “A tour of the place.”

The video of Matt’s land comes less than a year after the Alaskan Bush People family home was destroyed in a wildfire in the mountains of Washington. Bear Brown, Matt’s younger brother, revealed details about the fire on Instagram and his rep confirmed to the Sun at the time that ‘much was lost” from the fire.

Unfortunately, the family experiences another blow when patriarch, Billy Brown, suddenly died in February 2021 after suffering from a seizure. Since then, the family seems to be at odds with each other.

A couple of months after his father’s passing, Matt made some shocking allegations not only about the show’s production team but also his family. While he says he reconciled with his estranged father prior to his death, he still remains at odds with the rest of his family.

Matt Brown Speaks Out About ‘Alaskan Bush People’ Production

In a post back in May, Matt states he was ready to share with everyone the secrets that were slowly killing him.

“I can’t keep these lies anymore. And it’s not right to keep other people’s secrets… which is what I’ve been doing to my own detriment,” he says. “But they’re destroying me and they’ve been destroying me for a long time.”

Matt reveals that the production team initially pitched the show based on the Brown family’s off-the-grid living in his late father’s book. But in actuality, the family had a generator, television, and movies. So they weren’t actually living off the grid. Matt also explains that while he loved filming Alaskan Bush People, he didn’t like lying about the way he lived.

“We made a lot of money off the show, and because my dad controlled everything, all the money went to him,” he says, noting he didn’t receive any of the money.

Matt then admits that how he became an alcoholic and his affair with a married woman. He eventually went to rehab in order to get sober, but then learned that all the lying caused his issues.

“I just can’t go to sleep tonight without the truth being known… I apologize to you, my friends,” Matt finally says.

Following Matt’s confession, his brother Bear Brown blasted his older brother by calling his claims horrible lies. He also states it is heartbreaking that Matt would lie about their father just months after passing away. “I pray he can find the peace and serenity in his life that he needs,” Bear adds.
