‘American Chopper’: Paul Teutul Jr.’s ‘Cadillac Bike’ Is a Stunning Blend Between Car and Motorcycle

Paul Teutel Jr’s old “Cadillac bike” was part-car, part-motorcycle, all stunning and a great memory from the “American Chopper” star.

In a recent Instagram post, the bike builder reflected on the masterful work. The bike integrated the authentic CTS-V tail lights and the car company’s signature black diamond paint.

He caps off the post by saying it was “too many man hours to count in fabrication.”

Two ‘American Chopper’ Bikes With Caddy Theme

Both Paul Jr Designs and Orange County Choppers unveiled the themed bikes on May 4, 2011, in Detroit, Mich. “American Chopper” featured the bikes on May 30 and June 6 of that year.

One fan named Rob Benedict remembered the bikes from that build ten years ago.

“My favorite build,” Benedict said on Facebook. “Respect to your Dad, but loved the look in his face when you dropped it down, it looked like a mix of pride and realization he lost the build off.”

The Fans of Paul Jr. website described the chopper with its fluid design, blending curves, side pipes, and paint job.

The bike also featured a Crazy Horse motor and air suspension. The “American Chopper” star added large yellow V-inspired brake calipers, but it’s those taillights and trunk badges from a CTS sedan on the wide rear fender that still impresses fans on social media.

Cadillac Marketing, Cure Duchenne, and the Discovery Channel sponsored the bikes. The Cure Duchenne charity works to raise awareness and funds for Duchenne disease, a progressive form of muscular dystrophy affecting young boys.

The website also revealed that Walmart’s annual shareholders got a first look at the bike in a Bentonville, Arkansas meeting on June 3, 2011, before the show.

‘American Chopper’ Star Looking Back At Bikes

Paul Teutel Jr’s old “Cadillac bike” was not the only chopper he’s taken a trip down memory lane with lately.

The “American Chopper” star posted his 2019 MLB motorcycle last week on the same day the pro baseball league announced it was going into a business lockout.

Maybe it was just a coincidence, but the bike was kicking. In an Instagram post, the master bike builder called it “one of my favorite and most iconic builds” and captioned it, “the MLB Bike in all her glory.”

The magnificent bike also conjured an image of that Yankees bike from years past. That bike from Season 2 had quite a history, too.

Both father and son worked on rebuilding the bike. Paul Sr. had sold the bike to another owner. The motorcycle became vandalized, and Paul Jr. managed to get it back at some point. Both men worked on it together for six months after years of not talking.

Paul Sr. said “American Chopper” producers suggested that the two “work on the bike together.”
