While there’s been drama around former co-host Frank Fritz, American Pickers hosts Mike Wolfe and Danielle Colby pop a new smiling snap.
Wolfe, who is still with the popular show on The History Channel, and Colby, who works in Wolfe’s Iowa store, took a picture for Instagram. Take a look for yourself.
It was put out on Colby’s Instagram account. She also wrote this to go along with the picture.
“I love getting to spend time with @mikewolfeamericanpicker,” Colby wrote. “Head on over to my Patreon right now for a little behind the scenes Patreon-exclusive photo dump from this week.”
‘American Pickers’ Will Carry On With New Season Minus Fritz
American Pickers fans have been used to seeing Wolfe and Fritz go out together and “pick” up antiques and collectibles. Fritz, though, took a leave of absence last year for health reasons. Eventually, he was dropped as a co-host of the show.
Later on, Fritz revealed that he and Wolfe had not spoken in two years. So, The History Channel made the call on Fritz getting bounced.
Yet American Pickers will go on as the next season begins on Monday, Aug. 9. In fact, the show’s website from The History Channel features Wolfe and Colby together. The next new episode will be on Aug. 9 at 9 p.m. Eastern, 8 p.m. Central.
The show has been one of the most popular shows that are a part of History’s lineup. It’s been on the network since 2010 and shows no signs of slowing down, even with the dismissal of Fritz.
Former Co-Host Dropped The Hammer On Wolfe and Time With Him
Speaking of Fritz, he had some pointed comments after hearing what Wolfe had said about their time together.
He talked with The Sun about Wolfe’s statement. In a previous interview with the publication, Fritz said he hadn’t talked with Wolfe in over two years. It also appeared that Fritz accepted what happened. But all that went out the door as Fritz came out swinging.
“Mike’s statement was bulls–t, somebody wrote it out for him,” Fritz now said. Wolfe said he and Fritz had been friends for “as long as he could remember.”
Fritz’s response? “We were never friends in grade school,” he said. OK.
Additionally, Fritz said Wolfe hadn’t said “five nice things to him” during their 10-year working relationship.
He’s still mad about Wolfe not calling to check up on him while he’s been out sick. Fritz again said Wolfe didn’t call him after his back surgery. “That’s 100 percent truth and I don’t like people that lie to people,” Fritz said.
