Just a few months after Frank Fritz revealed he was let go from the History Channel’s series American Pickers, fans of the long-running series are reportedly boycotting its new seasons over the decision to remove Fritz as co-host.

Following the History Channel’s news about American Pickers’ upcoming filming dates and locations, Fritz’s fans took to the show’s Facebook page to declare their new lack of interest in the show. “I’ll watch the next episode that features Frank Fritz…. until then, no thanks,” a fan shared.

Other Fritz fans shared their thoughts about the upcoming American Pickers season. One fan even stated they weren’t a fan of Mike’s brother, Rob, being a host. “Lost interest in it. Frank [and] Mike together was more interesting. Don’t care for his brother. Not watching any longer.”

However, some American Pickers fans seem actually ok with Fritz not returning to the show. “I enjoy it better now without frank. While they’ve all been on the entire time, Rob, Jersey, and Dani bring in new blood and I like it,” one fan wrote. Another then commented, “Show is better without moody Frank, keep it in the family. Hey, History channel we need more reruns to tide us over till February.”

The comments by Fritz’s fans come just days after American Pickers producer, Sarah Perkins spoke about the show’s latest season to The Advocate. “We’re looking for leads throughout the state. Specifically interesting characters with fascinating items and lots of them.”

The American Pickers producer also shared with the media outlet that the way the show’s team finds people and collection int through word of mouth. This is to help spread the word that the crew is coming to town.

Why Did Frank Fritz Leave ‘American Pickers’?

Earlier this summer, Frank Fritz revealed to The Sun that he was let go from American Pickers. He was on the hit series since it premiered on the History Channel in 2010. Fritz explained that he had gone on hiatus from the show due to health issues. Which includes problems with his back that were caused by lifting things through the years. He had also struggled with alcohol addiction as well.

The former co-host of American Pickers stated he had to have back surgery and he hadn’t spoken to his co-star, Mike Wolfe in more than two years. “He knew my back was messed up, but he didn’t call me up and ask how I was doing. That’s just how it is.”

Despite being let go from American Pickers Fritz told The Sun that he was hoping to have a spin-off series. Fritz also shared that he was feeling really good despite his American Pickers exit. “Life is good and I’d like to get back into the swing go things. I wish I had done it five years ago. I would have been a different person.”
