“American Pickers” star Danielle Colby likes to appreciate some of the finer things in life, including the relaxing, meditative nature of a hot bath.
Colby recently shared a stunning shot of herself in the tub for a gorgeous photoshoot. While bright purple flowers in her hair and hot pink lipstick immediately draw the eye, so do Colby’s numerous tattoos.
Across her chest, we see a leopard-spot pattern inked under a flower necklace tattoo. An unknown person’s face peers at us from her shoulder, along with a bright red and blue flower. On the back of her hand, Colby has a beautiful swirling quote, while music notes dance across the backs of her fingers. We see another swirling quote peeking over the edge of her back as well.
The “American Pickers” star runs with the bath idea in this insightful quote from famous author, Sylvia Plath.
“‘There must be quite a few things a hot bath won’t cure, but I don’t know many of them. Whenever I’m sad I’m going to die, or so nervous I can’t sleep, or in love with somebody I won’t be seeing for a week, I slump down so far and then I say: I’ll go take a hot bath.’ – Sylvia Plath,” Colby captioned the post.
She added, “More of from this photo set and a brief history of bathing are out now on my Patreon.”
In addition to helping “American Pickers” host Mike Wolfe run the show, Colby also updates a historical blog via Patreon. Artists and other creators share their work on Patreon, receiving payment through the service when people subscribe to their page. Colby currently boats 832 patrons, who pay anywhere from $1 to $25 per month to read her historical blog (and view gorgeous photos).
‘American Pickers’ Star Danielle Colby Shares Her Love Of History On Patreon
Usually, the “American Pickers” star shares her Patreon updates via her Instagram. Colby employs photographer Madison Hurley to take stunning shots of her. Then, Colby uses the theme or props from the photos to connect to a topic she discusses via her historical blog on the site.
Earlier this week, Colby shared another Hurley photo featuring her in what looks like a greenhouse. The post focused on growing food for yourself.
“It’s time for a little Motivational Monday,” the “American Pickers” star captioned the photo. “Today we’re talking about growing your own food and why it’s so important for autonomy. Especially here on the island, having personal agency over how and what you eat is power. Head to my Patreon to read more, including some of my own gardening tips and tricks.”
