In the midst of some ongoing drama, American Pickers star Danielle Colby took a moment to reference “Purple Rain” by Prince.

For those who don’t know, American Pickers has been facing some recent controversy. The cast, which includes Colby, Mike Wolfe, and formerly, Frank Fritz, has been dealing with the aftermath of Fritz’s sudden departure. Since that time, he has been outspoken about his broken relationship with Wolfe.

As for Danielle Colby, however, she has found herself right in the middle of things. For more than ten years she has starred alongside both Wolfe and Fritz. With that said, though, her friendship with Wolfe goes back almost 10 years before the show even started. In a past post on social media, she has referred to Wolfe as her “brother” and her “best friend.” So, it’s safe to say we know what side she is on in all of this.

‘American Pickers’ Star Makes a ‘Purple Rain’ Reference

On Friday, Danielle Colby took a moment to talk about how the times are changing. And they definitely are — American Pickers is currently producing its 11th year and we know that Colby and Wolfe’s former co-star, Frank Fritz, will not be coming back.

As a result, Colby brought out her inner Prince by quoting one of his most famous songs, “Purple Rain.” She believes that “it’s time we all reach out for something new.” In addition to quoting some classic Prince lyrics, Colby showed off her body and her tattoos in a stunning photo which you can see down below.

“Honey, I know, I know. I know times are changing,” Colby wrote alongside the photo. “It’s time we all reach out for something new, that means you too. You say you want a leader, but you can’t seem to make up your mind. I think you better close it and let me guide you to the purple rain.”

The American Pickers star shares where fans can find the rest of her photoshoot.

“This history of purple is on my Patreon now along with more photos from this marvelous shoot @madisonhurleyphotography”

By the looks of it, Colby decided to take control of the comments of her latest post. She turned off commenting on the post, as she has done before in the wake of the controversy surrounding her former co-star Frank Fritz.

Of course, we can’t be 100-percent sure as to why the American Pickers star shut off her comments on this post and others in the past. It just feels like it may have something to do with the drama between Frank Fritz and Mike Wolfe, and her being caught in the middle of it.
