‘American Pickers’: What to Know About Frank Fritz’s Potential Replacement Mike Wolfe’s Brother, Robbie

Amid the drama surrounding “American Pickers” recently is the prospect of a potential permanent replacement for Frank Fritz. At present, the show seems perfectly content to feature Mike Wolfe alongside a rotating guest or guests. But in his health-induced exit from the show, Frank Fritz mentioned Mike’s brother, Robbie. He might be in line for a more permanent position. So what do we know about the potential replacement?

Mike and Frank have known each other for 40 years. There are very few people, save Mike’s brother, who have known him longer. So if “American Pickers” is worried about a rapport between old friends, then they’d be hard-pressed to find a better option than Robbie Wolfe.

Beyond that, Robbie is no stranger to the show. Since 2010, he has appeared in more than 70 episodes of “American Pickers.” And it’s not solely because he’s Mike Wolfe’s brother. On the contrary, he is a pretty accomplished picker in his own right.

Like his brother, he has a deep knowledge of antique collectibles like signs and bikes. Above all, though, Robbie is a gearhead with a passion for vintage cars. His expertise lends itself to a position on the show. And even though he has already had plenty of screen time, the absence of Frank Fritz has opened up quite an opportunity. Whether or not that’s even the direction “American Pickers” want to take remains to be seen.

Regardless, Frank saw this coming. In an interview with The Sun in which he talked about his future with the show, he mentioned Robbie.

“I think Mike wants to get his brother Robbie in there to replace me. I don’t know why he’s behaving like that towards me,” Fritz said.

Robbie Wolfe May Be Exactly What ‘American Pickers’ Needs

Based on Frank Fritz’s own diagnosis of the show, Robbie Wolfe may very well be the perfect option to replace him.

“You couldn’t just stick two people in a van and get the chemistry you get from me and Mike. We’ve known each other for about 40 years. We can finish each other’s sentences. When everybody is getting along and there’s no drama, me and him are very good together,” Fritz continued in the interview.

It’s important to note that Frank Fritz hasn’t officially been removed from the show. But after going through some health issues, including back surgery, he hasn’t been seen in any of the episodes that are currently airing. In fact, Fritz has stated that he would like to return to the show.

Interestingly, however, the chemistry he described between himself and Mike Wolfe can really only be matched by one other personRobbie. If that chemistry truly is the source of the show’s success, Frank may have some major competition on his hands.
