The genes run strong in Arnold Schwarzenegger’s family.
Well, everything runs strong in the Schwarzenegger family, and we mean that in the most literal sense. Arnold was declared the strongest man alive in 1967.
But aside from the obvious, another thing the Schwarzeneggers are known for is acting. And on Sunday, Arnold’s youngest son, Joseph Baena, showcased that when he announced that he’s filming a new movie in Honolulu, Hawaii.
The 24-year-old, who is an aspiring bodybuilder just like his pops, is just getting into the film industry and has four movies on the way. But as of now, Baena only has one released film credit, a Terminator 2 film short.
On top of being an actor, bodybuilder, and Terminator buff, Baena has one more thing in common with his dad. His looks. The actor is the spitting image of Arnold Schwarzenegger and he proved that with an Instagram post yesterday.
“Excited to be filming the movie Lava with the @bitflixnfts team!” he captioned alongside a shirtless picture. “Comment what you think is happening in this scene.”
Though Joseph Baena specifically asked his followers to comment about the movie scene, no one could get past his likeness to Arnold Schwarzenegger.
“Like father like son,” one person commented. “Them Arnold chest genetics,” wrote another fan.
“I wonder if Joe gets tired of hearing the similarities with Arnold,” another person asked. “But yeah def got the pops chest genes…that’s awesome.”
There are no film descriptions written about Lava, as of yet. But practically everyone seems to think the movie is related to Arnold’s Predator franchise. And we can only hope they’re right.
Jamie Lee Curtis Says Arnold Schwarzenegger Didn’t Want Her to Join Classic ‘True Lies’
During a recent interview, Jamie Lee Curtis revealed that Arnold Schwarzenegger did not want her to star as his love interest in True Lies.
Jamie Lee Curtis and Arnold Schwarzenegger were two of the biggest Hollywood stars in the 1990s. So it made sense when James Cameron paired the actors in his now-classic film True Lies. But decades later, the Halloween actress admitted that Arnold did not want her to be a part of the project.
There were two main reasons for Arnold’s disapproval. One, he was 12 years Curtis’s senior. And two, he was good friends with her father, Tony Curtis. Because of that, the Terminator actor did not want to share any love scenes with her.
“Arnold knew me as Tony’s daughter. He only knew me as Tony’s daughter,” shared Curtin. “He loved Tony Curtis. So I’m sure Arnold just looked at me like it’d be like kissing your niece or something … I guarantee, in fact, he did not want me to be in that movie. I think he just thought it would be weird. We knew each other a little bit socially. I just don’t think he thought of me as his leading lady. I think he thought of me as Tony’s little girl. And it was Jim who said, ‘No, I’ve written this for her. She’s the one to do this with you.’”
