Tim Allen is back in the shop. The “Last Man Standing” star has reunited with his fellow “Home Improvement” actor Richard Karn for the reality competition “Assembly Required.”

The newest trailer for the show just dropped, bringing both Allen and Karn back together. While it didn’t reveal what Allen and Karn might get up to, it’s nice to see them back together. Neither Allen nor Karn have missed a beat with that award-winning chemistry.

They both have quips as well. “We still got it man, at least I do,” Allen said. But Karn replies, “You got something.”

As for what the show is about, the History Channel has dropped a description. They wrote: “Assembly Required reunites Tim Allen with Richard Karn in this new competition series. That spotlights the best and brightest builders from across the country, at their home workshops. As they compete to breathe new life into everyday household items in desperate need of fixing. This new series will push each contestant to their limits while testing their ability and ingenuity to not only rebuild it but to build it better.”

The show will also be a history lesson in part. Both Allen and Karn will channel their best historians during the show. History Channel wrote, “In each episode, Allen and Karn will also dive into the unique history around these items to celebrate the men and women who crafted them, and the techniques used.”

Tim Allen Closes the Door on His Sitcom

As they say, as one door closes, another opens. Allen is currently saying goodbye to the Baxter family and his popular sitcom “Last Man Standing.” The show is currently amid its final season, and Allen is bringing out all the stops. Of course, this wasn’t the first time the actor has said goodbye to the show. It was canceled by ABC in 2017 after six seasons.

But Fox brought the show back for three additional seasons, bringing audiences back into the Baxters’ home. Now, both Allen and the sitcom are going out on their own terms. The cast and crew have crafted a final season to properly end the series and give its characters the endings they deserve.

Meanwhile. “Assembly Required” is set to premiere Tuesday, Feb. 23 at 10 p.m. EST on the History Channel.
