The newest Barbie Doll on the block pays tribute to one of the most iconic musical figures of all time.

The Elton John Barbie Doll has hit the market and is available for purchase on Amazon. The Barbie doll sells for just under 50 dollars on the site.

Barbie dolls have been everything from a doctor to a presidential candidate to a girl out on the town. Now Barbie will take on the image of one of the best-selling musicians to ever grace the stage.

John, now 73-years old, has sold over 300 million records and is noted for songs like “Rocketman” and “Tiny Dancer.” On Thursday he tweeted out an image of doll and expressed his excitement over the product.

“Barbie is an icon in her own right, so having her pay tribute to my work and personal style is a real honor,” John writes. “I hope that she inspires fans everywhere to fearlessly pursue their own dreams and limitless potential.”

Barbie Honors Elton John’s Style

The Elton John Barbie specifically pays homage to the singer’s Dodger Stadium concert in 1975, according to Yahoo. John became the first musical act to perform at the stadium in several years. The Beatles were the last act to take the stage nine years earlier.

Speaking to ABC News, John says the doll honors an era in which his fashion sense was at its peak.

“The 70’s were one of the mot stylish decades of all time,” he says in the interview. “As I reflect on this era in fashion, I want to capture the essence and meaning of what 70’s fashion was all about-radical self-expression and glamour.”

For her Elton John-inspired look, Barbie is wearing rainbow-striped platform boots, a bomber jacket with star-patterned sleeves and a rainbow hem, a purple bowler hat, sparkly pink sunglasses, a glittery top and flared jeans,” according to Yahoo.
