Nicole Kidman is teasing her fans by showing them an idyllic outdoor photo. You’d love to be in the middle of all that serenity kind of green.

But in reality, Nicole Kidman wants you to stick inside this weekend and binge watch one of her pet projects — Nine Perfect Strangers. Maybe you can give up your phone, too, since she wants the perfect show vibe. The limited series premiered on Hulu this week. The movie Being the Ricardos is an ongoing project for Nicole Kidman, but her Hulu series is front and center right now.

The camera snaps the back of Kidman as she looks out on the Nine Perfect Strangers retreat called Tranquillum House. She’s wearing her off-white tunic and is giving off the bliss. Her caption:

“Looking ahead to this weekend! A perfect time to binge watch Nine Perfect Strangers in case you haven’t already. Can you spot the hidden message? Screenshot and regram this photo to your own page and see if perhaps some filters might help you to see beyond your own perspective… “

Nicole Kidman Plays Mysterious Russian on New Series

Nicole Kidman is the mysterious Masha on Nine Perfect Strangers. She’s Russian and oversees Tranquillum House, which is a health retreat. Is she a healer or a cult leader? After the first episode, we don’t know what the heck any of it is. And at the end of episode one, Masha tells her selected guests that she used to be a tireless and super successful businesswoman. But she died and was brought back to life. So she changed her life’s work.

Nine Perfect Strangers is an offshoot of Big Little Lies, the Emmy-winning series from HBO. Nicole Kidman starred in the mini series, along with Reese Witherspoon and Laura Dern, Shailene Woodley and Zoe Kravitz. Liane Moriarty wrote both Big Little Lies and Nine Perfect Strangers. David E Kelley brought them both to TV.

Besides Nicole Kidman, other stars in the cast include Melissa McCarthy, Bobby Cannavale, Michael Shannon, Regina Hall and Luke Evans. Kidman is the producer of the show, as well. They filmed it in Australia last year. She and her country superstar husband Keith Urban moved the family there for the Covid-19 quarantine.

Kidman is currently filming Being the Ricardos, which is directed by Aaron Sorkin, who also wrote the screen play. She’s portraying the iconic Lucille Ball. The movie follows one week in the life of Ball, with husband Desi Arnaz, as they film I Love Lucy. Javier Bardem plays Desi. Lucie Arnaz, the couple’s daughter, is involved with the movie and is onset for some of the filming.

In an interview with Palm Springs Life, Lucie Arnaz lauded Nicole Kidman.

“Nicole did a spectacular job,” Arnaz told the outlet. “The two days that I watched, though, were both little flashbacks, so she was playing Lucy in the late ’30s and mid-’40s. She wasn’t Lucy of Lucy Ricardo fame yet, so it was a trifle different.”

Arnaz added: “And I know she meant it to be, so it could feel different. But boy, what she did was astounding. She’s got such poise and class.”
