If you are a fan of the popular ABC television series “Big Sky,” it looks like there is some major drama coming your way in the show’s second season.

As part of the effort to promote the show, a new teaser poster dropped this week, according to TV Insider. And to put it simply, it appears that big events are on the horizon for the show’s private detectives. They are, of course, Cassie Dewell (played by Kylie Bunbury) and Jenny Hoyt (Katheryn Winnick).

The new poster prominently features Bunbury and Winnick as their characters. They both look into the camera with expressions that are open for interpretation. But, it’s easy to see that they are worried about something.

Above the photos of the actresses is the phrase, “Welcome to the scenery of the crime.” Below them is what appears to be an automobile accident with four people running away from the scene. Also, there is cash that appears to be spilling out of the wrecked vehicle.

Who knows what this could mean? “Big Sky” is known for the twists and turns and unexpected occurrences of its plot. You never know what you’re going to get out of this David E. Kelley.

Executive Producer of ‘Big Sky’ Says ‘Things get More Complicated’ for Private Detectives During the Second Season

Here’s what the show’s executive producer and showrunner Elwood Reid had to say about the upcoming season: “The show picks up right where we left off with Cassie and Jenny dealing with the aftermath of Ronald’s bloody escape. Things get more complicated for Cassie and Jenny when they become involved in a mysterious car wreck that impacts the lives of four young teens.”

The second season will again be based around the beautiful Helena, Montana, location. It was this gorgeous backdrop that brought some fans to “Big Sky.”

Here’s a little bit more about the plot, according to TV Insider: “As they unravel the mystery of the accident, their worlds will collide with a band of unsuspecting teens, a flirtatious face from Jenny’s past, and a vicious outsider hellbent on finding answers.”

The cast of the second season of “Big Sky” will also include John Carroll Lynch, Jamie-Lynn Sigler, Janina Gavankar, Natalie Lind, and Logan Marshall-Green.

If you’re planning to tune in for the second season of “Big Sky,” you need to remember that it will now air on a different night of the week. For its second season, the crime drama has been moved to Thursday nights. Also, the show will hit your small screens at 9 p.m. Eastern/8 p.m. Central this fall. The show is also slated to stream on the Hulu streaming service.

The first episode of the second season of “Big Sky” will air on ABC on Thursday, Sept. 30.
