“Big Sky” is bringing back John Carroll Lynch for their second season on ABC. But his character was killed in Season 1. What gives?

Lynch, according to an article from Deadline, will appear at some point in the drama. But details around him showing up as Montana state trooper Rick Legarski have not been released. Lynch did appear on Thursday with a quick on-screen moment at the TCA event in Los Angeles.

Now Lynch really took Legarski and his connection to Ronald in Season 1. Again, how Legarski gets back into “Big Sky” for a second season remains in the hands of show producers.

This drama was created by David E. Kelley and is based on author C.J. Box’s “The Highway” series of books. The first season featured Kathryn Winnick and Kylie Bunbury as Jenny Hoyt and Cassie Dewell, respectively. They will be back on “Big Sky” in its second season.

Hoyt and Dewell were on the case of hunting down kidnappers as part of a sex trafficking ring. They did solve that mystery in the first season. But Ronald, played by Brian Geraghty, is out again, and the former cop and private investigator have to deal with him.

By the way, Ronald changed his name and is going out as “Arthur” for the second season. “Big Sky” fans will have to see how that works out for him.

The drama has added some people to its full-time cast for Season 2. Omar Metwally returns as Deputy U.S. Marshal Mark Lindor. He was a guest star in Season 1 but joins the cast for the entire season. Anja Savcic is returning on a regular basis to play Ronald’s girlfriend, Scarlet Leyendecker. That should be something to keep an eye on for sure. Savcic made recurring appearances in the first season.

Logan Marshall-Green will play Travis and Janina Gavankar will play Ren this season. How they all roll out for “Big Sky” is something, like we said, Outsiders will have to see.

The show will start its second season on Sept. 30.

Show Puts Out Teaser Around New Hotel Showing Up Next Season

“Big Sky” also let a little cat out of the bag with a Season 2 teaser. It did show a hotel appearing in the upcoming episodes.

#BigSky Motel, now open for business,” reads the post that features a video of the “Big Sky” Motel’s flickering neon sign.

The video that shows the teaser is interesting. When it first comes on the screen, it has a message on it. That message reads “THE LAST BEST PLACE YOU’VE NEVER SEEN VIEWS LIKE THIS” in neon lights under the hotel’s logo.
