Few people will put a smile on an Outsider’s face like the Irwins, and this “twinning” selfie of Bindi and Grace Warrior is a prime example.
“My girls sent me this photo while I was in a Zoo meeting,” Bindi’s husband, Chandler Powell, posts to Instagram Wednesday. “It absolutely made my day and I hope it makes yours too. These two always put a smile on my face.”
“It’s a vibe! We love you so much,” replies Bindi Irwin herself. In the shot, Bindi and their daughter, Grace Warrior, ham it up for an adorable mirror selfie. Taken at the family’s Australia Zoo, the Irwin lasses are both rocking their sunglasses and sticking out their tongues. For anyone who loves this family like we Outsiders do, it is absolutely priceless:
Grace Warrior has been an absolute blessing for the Irwin family; the only sadness coming from Steve Irwin not being able to meet his first grandchild. It’s hard to believe the beloved icon, a personal hero, has been gone for 15 years now. That doesn’t seem possible.
Steve would be beyond proud of his wife Terri’s continued stewardship of the Australian Zoo. But even beyond this, he would not believe how incredible his own two children – daughter Bindi and son Robert Irwin – have become. Robert is the spitting image of his father, and both he and Bindi carry his luminous spirit wherever they go.
Bindi Irwin Celebrates Life Through Her Family’s Legacy
Indeed, the 15th anniversary of Steve Irwin’s death was just a few weeks back. Bindi and Grace would tribute the late legend on Instagram with more unbelievably precious photos and truly touching words.
“This sweetheart has been watching her ‘Grandpa Crocodile’ on the projector at our camp here on the Steve Irwin Wildlife Reserve,” Bindi posted on September 4 alongside an adorable photo of Grace Warrior. Within, the little one sports Australia Zoo signature khakis – ones the Irwins made instantly iconic.
“She lights up when she sees him on screen,” Bindi continues. “I wish with all my heart that Dad could hug my beautiful girl. It’s been 15 years since he passed away. I hold on to the thought that he’s her guardian angel now, watching over the most special part of my life, Grace Warrior.”
In the next slide is a shot of Steve and Bindi Irwin collecting shells on the beach together. She couldn’t have been much older than Grace in the photo. Also, I’m not crying. You’re crying.
“I’m 100% sure your dad is constantly watching over Grace, keep asking your dad to leave you signs so you know he is always with you,” replies Himalayan Felt Co. to Bindi Irwin’s post. Aye, now that is true.
