“Crikey! It’s the Irwins” star Bindi Irwin has delighted fans with pictures of her new daughter, Grace Warrior Irwin Powell, recently. But before having Grace in March, Bindi and her longtime partner Chandler Powell finally tied the knot in 2020. Now, she’s taking to Instagram to recognize how he’s the “best” husband and father that she and Grace could ask for.
Couples that feed crocodiles together stay together. Or so the saying goes. Bindi Irwin and her young family picked up right where her late father, Steve Irwin, left off. They eat, sleep, and breathe wildlife. As television personalities by way of “Crikey! It’s the Irwins,” they continue to pursue Steve’s mission of educating the public about conservation. But first, Bindi Irwin and Chandler Powell are dedicated parents. And they appear to be very much in love.
“Love of my life. Partner in raising Grace, animal puns, endless baby laundry, coffee drinking, Parks & Rec watching, conservation missions, hug giving, crocodile feeding, life adventuring and so much more. You’re the best babe, and I love you with all my heart,” Bindi’s Instagram caption read.
The touching post comes as a change of pace from the regularly scheduled baby Grace Warrior programming. Not that anyone is complaining about adorable pictures of the six-month-old, but a husband appreciation post is always welcome. Chandler was feeling the love, at least.
“The sweetest post. I love you with everything I have. Grateful to live such an extraordinary life together with our Grace,” Chandler commented on the post.
Bindi Irwin Can’t Wait for Her Daughter to Meet Late Grandpa Steve Through Stories and Videos
There is no shortage of Steve Irwin footage out there. He was “The Crocodile Hunter,” after all. And even though his life’s mission was raising awareness for wildlife conservation, Steve was a father first. Naturally, Bindi regrets that he isn’t around to meet her new daughter. But she still plans on her late father being a figure in Grace Warrior’s life.
“It’s hard knowing that she’ll never get to actually meet him and it’s devastating because I’ll never get to watch their connection. But, I can not wait to be able to tell beautiful Grace all of these stories about dad, to be able to share with her what an amazing father he was. It’s going to be…it’s going to be really special…It’s going to be really special for her to know him through us, to tell her about what an amazing man he was,” Bindi Irwin said during a Discovery+ special in April.
One thing’s for sure, even without grandpa around, Grace Warrior is fortunate to have such a close-knit family.
