Oh, cuteness overload! TV personality and animal conservationist Bindi Irwin took to her Instagram on Saturday (August 14th) to share adorable snapshots of her gorgeous baby girl, Grace Warrior Irwin Powell.

Bindi Irwin captioned the sweet Instagram post with, “Our Wildlife Warrior princess. I wish you could hear all of Grace’s ‘Ah-Gooo’ and ‘Gheeeee’ noises while these photos were taken. Her smile is the best part of our day”

Bindi Irwin and her husband, Chandler Powell announced they were having their first child in August 2020. The animal activist gave birth to Grace on March 25, 2021, just one year after she and Chandler got married.

Bindi Irwin Opened Up About How Her Late Father Helped Influence Her Daughter’s Nickname

During a February 2021 interview with The Bump, Bindi Irwin opened up about how her late father, Steve Irwin, helped influence her baby girl’s nickname. “My dad was the first person to create the term ‘Wildlife Warrior,” Bindi recalled. She explains that being a ‘Wildlife Warrior’ means to stand and speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves.

“We’ve been referring to our daughter as our Baby Wildlife Warrior. I know in my heart that she will forge her own path to make our planet a better place,” Bindi Irwin states.

Also speaking about how she’s planning to share Steve’s legacy with her daughter, Bindi Irwin answers, “I always joke that if he was still here, we’d never see our baby because he’d take her on all kinds of adventures! I want to make sure our baby girl gets to know my dad. Thankfully, we have many documentaries and photos we can share with her.”

Bindi Irwin also shared that she has her mother, Terri, to help support her. “We spent a long time searching for grandma names that also had an animal link. We decided that she’s going to be called ‘Bunny.’”

Bindi further explained that while her mother was growing up in Oregon, her neighbor down the street was always called ‘Bunny.’ “It only just dawned on us that it wasn’t her name but rather what everyone called her since she was a grandmother figure to the entire neighborhood.”

Bindi Discussed Her Approach to Parenting

Also during her interview with The Bump, Bindi Irwin stated how she plans to approach motherhood. “I want to give our daughter the opportunity to experience as much as possible in the world to set her up for life,” She explained. Irwin also said that the greatest gift her parents gave her was their unconditional love and support. They also encouraged her to travel on her own path while always being there for support.
