Television personality and conservationist Bindi Sue Irwin took to her Instagram page on Monday (July 19th) to share a touching tribute to her mother, Terri Irwin, on her birthday.
“Celebrating my beautiful mama’s birthday by releasing five sea turtles back to the wild,” Bindi writes in the caption. She also shares that the titles were in care at their Australia Zoo Wildlife Hospital.
Irwin also says the day will live in her heart forever with the “most amazing” Mama turned Bunny (which is their term for grandmother). “I love you beyond description, Mum.”
Bindi Irwin Is Rumored to be Pregnant Just Months After Welcoming First Child
Rumors have begun to circulate that Bindi Sue Irwin may actually be pregnant with Baby No. 2. She and her husband Chandler Powell welcomed their first child, Grace Warrior, in March 2021. A source close to the couple told Women’s Day Australia, “Bindi and Chandler knew from the get-go that they wanted a bunch of kids and they feel there’s no reason to wait.”
The source also says that Bindi and Chandler are interested in moving to Oregon for a few years. “It’s quiet, peaceful, no one would bother her there and she could live a normal life,” the insider explains. It was also revealed that Irwin has two aunts and an uncle in the state. Terri also grew up in Oregon and took the kids there almost every year since they were little.
Bindi as well as Chandler and the rest of the Irwin family has yet to confirm if the rumors are actually true.
Bindi Takes a Break From Social Media Following Grandfather Drama
Irwin previously stated in a since-deleted Father’s Day post that Bob, the father of the late Steve Irwin and her grandfather, has actually ignored her since she was a little girl and has been mentally abusive towards her. “He has never said a single kind word to me personally. It breaks my heart but it is not healthy to engage in an abusive relationship.”
Irwin also says that she and her family have continued to financially support her grandfather despite their rocky relationship. Following a situation with her grandfather, Bindi announced plans to take a break from social media.
“I’m taking a break from social media and most of my work in the public eye for a month to be with my beautiful daughter and my wonderful family,” Bindi states in another since-deleted post.
Irwin also addresses her own mental health by writing, “To my friends who are dealing with depression, anxiety, and other battles every day – I see you. These issues are very real and deserve to be discussed and addressed.”
