Intense exchanges between celebrities and paparazzi are not all that infrequent. One of the most recent ones reportedly took place between actress Blake Lively and photographers this week.

According to People, Lively, who is the wife of the popular actor Ryan Reynolds, had the reported encounter on Friday, July 16. What really bothered her was that the following photographers were invading her children’s privacy.

Lively and Reynolds share three daughters together. They are James, who is 6 years old, Inez, who is 4 years old, and Betty, who is 21 months old.

Blake Lively reportedly felt that the paparazzi who were following her were taking photos. The paparazzi were then relocating to another spot to wait for the actress and her children to shoot more photos. She later described the experience as “frightening.”

The 33-year-old actress, who is known for her roles in “Gossip Girl,” “The Town,” and “The Shallows,” posted about the incident. The post was later deleted. However, screenshots of the post were captured by Comments By Celebs.

“You edit together these images together to look like I”m happily waving. But that is deceitful,” Lively posted. “The real story is: My children were being stalked by a men (sic) all day. Jumping out. And then hiding.”

According to Lively, a passerby saw what was happening and felt the need to intervene.

“A stranger of the street got into words with them because it was so upsetting for her to see,” the actress shared.

Blake Live Questions “Morality” of Publications That Hire Paparazzi

The actress also questioned the “morality” of publications that hire such paparazzi to photograph celebrities and their families.

“Do you do background checks on the photographs (sic) you pay to stalk children,” Blake Lively wanted to know. “Where is your morality here? I would like to know. Or do you simply not care about the safety of children?”

The actress also claimed that there were paparazzi who respected her wishes that her children not be photographed.

“The photographer who would speak to me, I was able to agree to smile and wave and let them take my picture away from my children if they would leave my kids alone,” Lively said. “Because it was frightening.”

In response to Comments By Celebs sharing her deleted post via Instagram, the actress posted another message. In it, she encouraged people to stop viewing photos of celebrities and their children.

“One simple thing people can do is stop following and block any publications or handles who publish kid’s pictures,” Lively shared. “Feel free to report them. Or send a dm sharing why you don’t follow them. But it’s a simple way of only aligning with publications who have morality. And so many do.”

At the end of her response, Lively reiterated the fear she felt.

“It’s f****** scary,” she said.
