Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani Enjoyed a Classic Five-Tier Wedding Cake That Had a ‘Sentimental Statement’

What’s a wedding without special and unique details? The bakery that made Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani’s wedding took to Instagram on Tuesday to reveal the “sentimental statement” that the couple’s cake had.

Fancy Cakes By Lauren, the bakery behind the gorgeous five-tier cake, shares more details about the amazing creation by describing it as being more than just a wedding cake for superstars. “[Gwen Stefani] wanted to make a sentimental statement by recreating her parent’s wedding cake,” the bakery reveals.

The bakery also describes the cake’s style as being a “lost art” of free-hand piping, Lambeth Cake Design, and it’s slowly making a comeback. “I’m sure Gwen [Stefani] and Blake [Shelton] have just pushed Lambeth right back into demand with their five-tier beauty,” the baker pens. The cake was complete with white swan pillars, bells, tiny sugar flowers, and white chocolate cherubs.

“All the small piping details are layers upon layers of intricate Royal icing that creates an elaborate cake design fit for (literally) American royalty,” The bakery adds. The business also shows off the design of Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton’s cake, which looks to die for.

Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani officially said “I Do” on Saturday (July 3rd). As previously reported Blake had a small chapel built on his Oklahoma for the small intimate ceremony.  Gwen’s parents Dennis Stefani and Patty Flynn were among the guests at the event.

Blake Shelton Performs New Song During HIs Wedding Vows to Gwen Stefani

During an interview with Entertainment Tonight, Carson Daly, who officiated Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani’s wedding, reveals that Shelton performed a new song during his wedding vows.

During the vow exchanges, Daly recalls Blake telling the wedding guests that Gwen was always giving him a hard time about not writing enough songs. So he decided to write a song as his vows.

“Guitar comes in, stool, next thing you know, he wrote her a song, and he sings her a song – while he’s crying – that he wrote specifically for her,” Daly says.

Carson states that Blake’s song to Gwen is called Reach the Star and also wasn’t a dry eye in the house. Daly also says that the song “will put everyone in the wedding at that moment.”

In regards to the actual event, Daly describes the couple’s small ceremony “perfect” for them, calling it as elegant and refined, and cool as Gwen is Carson says. He also called it as country, down-home, and fun as Blake is. He then adds, “[Blake and Gwen] just work. They’re an unlikely pair. They’re like if you paired the delicious fried chicken with a glass of champagne. On paper, on the menu, it doesn’t seem to work, but it works.”
