“Blue Bloods” is back at work filming episodes for its upcoming season on CBS and, Outsiders, we get to see a little bit from the set.

Actually, it’s a snap of stars Donnie Wahlberg, who plays Detective Danny Reagan, and Bridget Moynahan, who plays Assistant District Attorney Erin Reagan, at the Reagan home. You know, the Reagan home where those family dinner scenes take place?

Enjoy this picture of Wahlberg and Moynahan as they take a quick break for a quick pic from their “Blue Bloods” work.

Now that photo comes from Wahlberg’s Instagram stories. A fan happened to get the picture and shared it with Twitter.

Wahlberg Convinced Moynahan To Take Role With ‘Blue Bloods’

As most “Blue Bloods” fans know, Danny seems to always be asking Erin for a favor. It might be a warrant for an arrest. It might be some information. Anything that could help him out in a pinch. Yes, Erin knows that she should not help her brother out. Don’t cross those family boundaries during work.

Sometimes, though, she will do something to help Danny out. Those scenes are always interesting to see play out on “Blue Bloods.”

In real life, Moynahan actually has Wahlberg to thank for getting her on the CBS hit police drama. Moynahan has admitted that she read the script for the show when she first got it. She took a pass on it because she didn’t want to have to go traveling while raising a child at the time.

Moynahan Wanted Assurance That Show Wouldn’t Be Filmed In Canada

Wahlberg, once he read through for the show, knew that Moynahan would be a solid fit to play his sister.

The obstacle? Moynahan wanted assurances that “Blue Bloods” would not be filmed in Canada. He assured her that Tom Selleck, who plays NYPD Commissioner Frank Reagan, wouldn’t do a show that wasn’t authentic. Wahlberg eventually convinced Moynahan to accept the role.

Good thing because those two, along with Selleck, have been on “Blue Bloods” since it premiered in 2010. They are filming episodes for its 12th season and it’ll be right back on Friday nights this fall at 10 p.m. Eastern, 9 p.m. Central.

Who else has been around since Season 1? Will Estes, who plays Sergeant Jamie Reagan, and Len Cariou, who plays Retired NYPD Commissioner Henry Reagan, join the party. Cariou has had quite a career on Broadway before joining the TV show.

Also, expect to see more of Vanessa Ray, who plays Officer Eddie Janko-Reagan, Jamie’s wife, and Marisa Ramirez, who plays Detective Maria Baez, Danny’s partner on the street. They’ll be around and maybe, just maybe, you’ll catch them having dinner with the Reagans.
