“Blue Bloods” star Donnie Wahlberg celebrated his seven-year anniversary with his wife, Jenny McCarthy, in a touching Instagram post this morning.

The two tied the knot on August 31, 2014 in St. Charles, Illinois, according to Pop Culture. The outlet also revealed that the couple renews their vows every year on their anniversary, and this year was no exception.

The “Blue Bloods” star treated fans to pics from this year’s vow renewal ceremony. Wahlberg and McCarthy hold each other close in the pic, which also features Reverend Ray McElroy. Wahlberg’s caption is more of a love letter to his wife, and one that tugs at all the heartstrings.

#HappyAnniversary Jenny! Seven years — no itch!” Wahlberg begins. “I love you more than ever, Mrs Wahlberg. To be blessed with a partner whose goal is to make sure that I love myself more and more each day — is to be truly blessed.”

The “Blue Bloods” star continues, “Thank you for holding me down, while always holding my kite string and letting me fly. You are my soul mate in every way. My heart is overflowing with gratitude, appreciation and unconditional love, for you. I love you Lady.”

Wahlberg also gives a shoutout to McElroy, who’s helped the couple renew their vows for the past seven years. “Thank you Reverend Ray McElroy (aka @bellboy47), my friend and Minister, for helping me surprise my wife again (got ya baby) and for gracing us with your wisdom and your blessing.”

The “Blue Bloods” star concluded with a more religious note. “‘Seven = Completion. Perfection’. 🙏🏼 So grateful to be able to ‘renew’ gods amazing blessing for another year. On to forever. 🙏🏼❤️ Happy Anniversary Jenny!”

‘Blue Bloods’ Star Donnie Wahlberg Talks Marriage with Wife, Jenny McCarthy

According to Pop Culture, Jenny McCarthy opened up about the couple’s decision to renew their vows after their third anniversary.

“Donnie had the idea with our first anniversary of renewing our vows and it was such a beautiful experience to reconnect,” McCarthy said. “People renew their driver’s license every five years! It’s a recommitment to our love and if you live busy lives, to slow down for 15 minutes to renew your vows… there’s nothing more romantic.”

The “Blue Bloods” star also told ET Canada in 2019 that second marriages are infinitely easier. “I had no idea how much better it would actually be,” Wahlberg said. “It gets better and better every day! This was a forever thing for us and we’re fully committed to the relationship. We work at it all the time. When I look back at the first and second year, I think of how far we’ve come and we often talk about how we’re growing closer and more connected.”
