‘Blue Bloods’ Star Donnie Wahlberg Shows Off ‘Thankful’ Tattoo in New Pic

“Blue Bloods” star Donnie Wahlberg wants to remind his TV and music fans that he’s thankful “for every moment.”

The television star is also the frontman for the pop group New Kids On The Block. He joined the band back in 1986 and has filled up stadiums since with thousands and thousands of fans.

In preparation for his upcoming concert at Fenway Stadium in Boston, the “Blue Bloods” actor has been hyping up his fellow “Blockheads” with messages of love and support. Now, he’s gone so far as to tattoo one message permanently onto his body.

“#loveeternal,” Wahlberg tweeted along with a black and white pic of the new ink. The word “Thankful” is tattooed across his forearm, and on top of the picture, Wahlberg put the words, “For every moment.”

The “Blue Bloods” star seemed to drop a hint about the new ink in an earlier Tweet from July 6. He posted a video of himself driving through a cornfield with “Sailing” by Christopher Cross playing. The caption read, “#Thankful for every moment.”

Wahlberg connects with his fans a lot on Twitter, having started the #BHLove hashtag (Blockhead Love) as well as the #loveeternal chain. NKOTB fans will tag their tweets with these hashtags whenever they’re sharing news about Wahlberg and his group.

The “Blue Bloods” star also already has some ink dedicated to his fans. Last year, Wahlberg got the catchphrase “love eternal” tattooed on himself in the shape of an infinity sign. The sign is connected by the letters “B” and “H” for Blockheads.

“this is for life. #loveeternal #BHLove #familia #forever,” the NKOTB frontman captioned it.

Bringing NKOTB to the ‘Blue Bloods’ Set

Balancing a popular music group with a popular TV crime drama can be difficult to do, but Wahlberg makes the most of his time. When he’s not playing Detective Danny Reagan on the set, the “Blue Bloods” actor will use the time between takes to practice his dance moves.

Walhberg’s co-star Bridget Moynahan told Parade back in 2011 that the NKOTB frontman would practice the same moves over and over again for his fellow cast members.

“In between every setup! I’ve seen him do them so many times, I could probably rehearse their entire new tour for you, though I wouldn’t be as smooth and graceful as he is,” Moynahan said.

Fellow co-star Jennifer Esposito also joined in on the shenanigans during her time on the show. In a 2020 interview with Entertainment Weekly’s PeopleTV, Esposito revealed that Wahlberg was “one of the best people I’ve ever worked with.”

“We had so much fun, I think (producers) needed to make us separate because that’s how much fun we had. We would be cracking up and dancing, like, right before a take, and then we’d be like, ‘So did you do it!?’” Esposito said.

Wahlberg and his dance moves definitely know how to bring fun and liveliness to the “Blue Bloods” set.
