“Blue Bloods” may not have an end in sight for right now, but some fans have thought about specific scenes they’d like to see before the show concludes.
We’ve seen a lot happen to our favorite characters over the 12 seasons the show’s run so far. But there are still a few scenarios that fans are clamoring for that they hope make it into the script for future seasons.
One Reddit user posed the question in the “Blue Bloods” subreddit, asking, “What scene would you like to see on Blue Bloods?” The Reddit user then went on to describe a very specific scene featuring characters Anthony Abetmarco and Erin Reagan. The two work together for the DA’s office, but this user wants to see them become a couple.
They describe Erin and Anthony enjoying some breakfast together when they get similar ominous text messages. The Reddit user may want to see Erin and Anthony get together romantically, but many other “blue Bloods” fans disagreed.
“Nah that’s wrong. I like them as friends/collages not romantically involved. It just would be wrong. This is like saying Danny and his detective partner as a couple. I like them as partners, not as a couple,” one fan commented.
Another person said, “I would like to see a scene that’s just them hanging out having a good time, either fishing at a cabin, or some kind of family gathering. Just a nice moment where they are just real people and not the job.”
This fan summed up the sentiment felt by many. “Erin only loves her ex-hubby Jack & no one else. She tried w/her ex-boss but that didn’t work.”
And then there’s one Reddit user who proposed a hilarious crossover scene that they’d love to see from the 1970s sitcom “Barney Miller.”
“On the final episode when Frank retires, I want to see Barney Miller and Wojo give toasts at his retirement party,” the person wrote.
No New ‘Blue Bloods’ Episode This Week
Unfortunately, “Blue Bloods” fans will have to wait to see if their favorite fantasies make it on their TV screens. The CBS show is taking a week off, with the next episode premiering on Friday, Nov. 5
The network didn’t give a concrete reason why the show is taking a week-long hiatus. But they did the same thing with their other hit TV shows like “NCIS.” Perhaps the network wants to make sure shows catch up on filming for later episodes. Or maybe they want certain episodes to premiere during key November sweeps rating periods.
Either way, we can’t wait to see what’s in store next for the Reagan family. Last week left us with a lot to digest, so maybe this week off will help us collect our thoughts and consider what comes next.
