‘Blue Bloods’: Frank Reagan’s Fashion Choices for Family Dinners Leaves Fans Questioning His Selections

It’s hard to get anything by a Blue Bloods fan. As a matter of fact, one fan took to Reddit earlier this year to talk about Frank Reagan’s attire at Sunday dinners.

For those who need filled in, Tom Selleck stars on Blue Bloods as Frank Reagan — the New York City Police Commissioner. The popular police drama also features other stars like Donnie Wahlberg (Danny Reagan), Bridget Moynahan (Erin Reagan), and Will Estes (Jamie Reagan).

And while there is no shortage of the Reagan family catching bad guys and solving cases, there is also another element of the show that makes it special. That is the close bonds between the family members at their very core. While they each work their own cases during the week, they manage to meet up weekly together at the table for Sunday dinners.

Those family dinners were at the center of a question of one user on Reddit who goes by u/Navitach. They took to the popular forum to ask if anyone else noticed that Frank Reagan always wears sweaters during Sunday dinner.

“Anyone who’s watched the show enough has probably noticed that Frank always wears a swearte at Sunday dinner,” the OP begins. “We of course only see the lives of the Reagans for part of the year, but the NYPD in the show doesn’t stop working when we’re not watching. And the Sunday dinners happen every week also.”

Does Frank Reagan Wear Sweaters in the Summer on ‘Blue Bloods’

It may sound like a silly question, but it’s one that apparently is in the mind of some Blue Bloods fans out there. Frank Reagan can’t always be wearing a sweater at Sunday dinners can he?

“So, during the warmer months that we usually don’t see, like late spring and summer, does Frank still wear a heavy sweater?” the OP continued. “I would imagine it’s too warm, unless they have the A/C cranked up! What do you all think? Or do I have too much time on my hands, thinking about something like this?”

Fellow fans of the show took a while to respond, but when they did the responses were varied. One fan disregarded the question entirely.

“I’m more interested in next week’s episode. Anthony bing mistaken as a member of the mafia?!! Count me in.”

Meanwhile, others took the time to think about what the original poster was saying.

“The first seasons showed Frank at home in jeans and a t-shirt,” one Blue Bloods fan explained. “I find his sweaters with vest and tie underneath to be overly stuffy.”

“LOL, find a hobby,” said another person on the thread. “I’m amazed that 3 street cops at the table never have to pull a shift during Sunday dinner time.”
