“Blue Bloods” star Will Estes isn’t against learning more about the art of acting. He knows that he can lean in and listen to two veterans.

Estes, who plays Sergeant Jamie Reagan on the CBS police drama, was interviewed in 2017 by Taylor Magazine.

Interviewer Ceylan Kumbarji asked the “Blue Bloods” star, “Do you have a favorite character on the show that when you watch makes you think, ‘I’d love to play that’ or ‘That’s an amazing character they’ve created there’?”

Estes said, “Well, the bad guys that we arrest always get to have all the fun!”

‘Blue Bloods’ Star Estes Recognizes Talent Around Him At Dinner Table

“Sat at the table I’m surrounded by a lot of talent,” he said. “Len Cariou to my right is such a great actor and film actor as well. He was just in the Academy Award-winning Spotlight.

“Tom Selleck is probably one of the smartest actors I’ve ever worked with in terms of story and character and staying ahead of the audience,” Estes said. “He just knows telling the story with a camera so well, so I just try to soak it up as much as I can.”

He’s had 11 seasons on “Blue Bloods” to soak up a lot from Cariou and Selleck. Cariou has a background filled with both Broadway and film experience. Selleck, obviously, has experience from his previous CBS crime drama, “Magnum, P.I.” He played private investigator Thomas Magnum and was the central figure on that show.

In this CBS police drama, Selleck plays NYPD Commissioner Frank Reagan. He’s also the father of Jamie Reagan, Estes’ character. Cariou plays a kind-of wise elder role in Retired NYPD Commissioner Henry Reagan. As Estes mentioned, being around these two actors will certainly help him learn a lot more about the art of being an actor.

“Blue Bloods” fans can mark down Oct. 1 on their calendars. That’s when the opener for the 12th season appears on Friday night at 10 p.m. Eastern, 9 p.m. Central, on CBS.

Actress Marisa Ramirez Sticks To Script, But Tells On One Who Doesn’t

Wouldn’t you think that on a show like “Blue Bloods” all of the actors would stick to the script?

Marisa Ramirez, who plays Detective Maria Baez, said that she does. Yet she also lets the cat out of the bag when it comes to one who doesn’t always.

She talks about it during a 2017 interview with the SUP Creative Group. An interviewer asked if Ramirez says the script or ad-libs.

“Oh, I say the script,” the “Blue Bloods” actress said. So, who ad-libs a lot?

Ramirez said it’s actually Donnie Wahlberg, who plays Detective Danny Reagan. “But what’s funny is [Donnie] will ad-lib a lot,” she said.
