Friday night premiered the latest episode from “Blue Bloods'” 12th season. While we definitely enjoyed the unique plotline as an entire community seemingly unanimously decided not to cooperate with NYPD’s latest investigation, it was another familiar face that caught our eye.
The latest “Blue Bloods” episode, “USA Today,” highlighted several interesting professional and interpersonal conflicts among the Reagan family. However, one came as Tom Selleck’s character Frank Reagan, family patriarch and New York City’s Police Commissioner, brought on a new addition for the team. As a result, Baker, Garrett, and Gormley were none too happy.
That new character, Detective Angela Reddick, is played by the stunning 5’11” actress, Ilfenish Hadera. Prior to her latest appearance on “Blue Bloods,” she’s has made many memorable onscreen debuts across various network series and films.
As we know, Hadera features primarily in “Baywatch” starring alongside Hollywood icons Zac Efron and Dwayne Johnson. However, you might also recognize the Harlem, New York native outside of her role in “Blue Bloods'” newest episode.
According to 2paragraphs, the “Blue Bloods” guest star has played a role in a variety of television series. These include “Godfather of Harlem,” “She’s Gotta Have It,” “Deception,” “Billions,” and one of our favorites, “Chicago Fire.”
As to her film roles, alongside “Baywatch,” Outsiders might also recognize the actress from her time on Spike Lee’s “Chi-Raq.”
It will be interesting to see how Hadera’s character, Reddick develops as we await next week’s episode of “Blue Bloods.”
One ‘Blue Bloods’ Star is Embarrassed to Promote Himself
As one of “Blue Bloods” highlight characters, we’ve learned Sidney Gormley actor, Robert Clohessy, is embarrassed to promote himself on social media.
Prior to this week’s episode, the 63-year-old actor reached out to Abigail Baker actress Abigail Hawk. At the time, he asked her about promoting the upcoming “Gormley” feature. Assuming Clohessy was referencing his character’s struggles to adapt to the team’s newest addition, it makes sense the actor would want to promote the episode. However, his methods in doing so are quite comical.
In reaching out to Hawk, the “Blue Bloods” actor shared a photo of himself and his fellow cast member. He then wrote, “You need to put it on Instagram and say tomorrow is a special Sid episode! I’m always embarrassed to promote myself.”
What a guy. Regardless of the actor’s embarrassment, fans took to the comments beneath Hawk’s post to share their love for both the Sid actor and Hawk herself. In addition to joining in on the humor of the post.
“Go Sid!” wrote one “Blue Bloods” fan. “We all love the dream team.” Meanwhile, another fan sympathized, “Aww Sid!” beneath the star’s photo.
Another commented on Hawk’s humorous take on the “Blue Bloods” Sid promotion, writing, “Malicious compliance,” although we’re sure it’s simply all in good fun.
