The season 11 finale of Blue Bloods airs Friday, and it should be action-packed. The Tom Selleck lead series following police commissioner Frank Reagan and his family. It’s been a fan favorite for over a decade. The season finale will bring many fan-favorite characters back to the forefront of the story.
The finale will see the return of Joe Hill (Will Hochman). The episodes follow Joe as he works undercover with the ATF, but his identity might be compromised. It puts the young officer in a very precarious position. According to new stills, it’s likely Jamie and Danny will try and help him out of the situation somehow. But it’s clear Joe is the main character to worry about leading up to the Blue Bloods finale.
Meanwhile, the rest of the family feels shocked following the news that Hill is working undercover. The family worries his identity has been compromised. In a new promo, Hill says, “I love you, grandpa,” to a very concerned Frank (Tom Sellek) before hanging up the phone. Gloria Reuben will also guest star Special Agent Rachel Weber.
The second part of the Blue Bloods finale follows the family as they unite together to try to prevent Joe Hill from being killed in the line of duty. He’s truly in the most dangerous position he’s ever been in.
The still shots from the upcoming finale are pretty interesting, including an image of Anthony, Eddie, and Erin at the same crime scene. It’s clear from the photos that the finale will see many of the critical characters teaming up, including Danny and Jamie. It will be a highly personal two hours for the Reagan family.
The two-hour finale of Blue Bloods features two episodes, “The End” and “Justifies the Means,” will air on Friday, May 14, 9:00-11:00 PM, ET/PT.
‘Blue Bloods’ Has Been Renewed for Season 12
No matter what happens in the finale, this won’t be the last you’ll see of the Reagan family. CBS has renewed the drama for a 12th season. This is in spite of a fourth consecutive year of rating dips, which tend to plague longer running shows. CBS currently airs a multitude of procedurals, including the hit NCIS Franchise.
What fans can expect from season 12 hinges on what happens in the two-part finale on Friday. Hopefully, Joe Hill will survive the events of the episodes. Most fans would love to see him back at a family dinner, safe and sound, but knowing Blue Bloods, there’s no guarantee that’ll happen.
