‘Blue Bloods’ Star Abigail Hawk Chronicles Incredible Hike With Husband on Mohonk Mountain

Blue Bloods star Abigail Hawk just chronicled her epic hike with her husband on Mohonk Mountain in New York. Hawk plays Abigail Baker on the hit series. Currently, she’s working on set as they film season 12. In her free time, she seems to love going outdoors.

“Journey with us as we attempt the Labyrinth and Lemon Squeeze of Mohonk Mountain!” the Blue Bloods actress wrote in the caption.

“I love our adventures. Where the heck are we?” Abigail’s husband said in the first video. The two were inside a cavern.

“That’s not what you said. You said where the fork are we,” Abigail joked.

“That’s right,” he replied. The hilarious videos show the two goofing off together while spending time in nature.

“We seemed to have found ourselves between a rock and a hard place,” Hawk joked, while literally right by some rocks. The gorgeous views are made even better by the commentary.

“I’m gonna pretend this video is to take in the view, but really it’s so I can catch my breath,” Hawk said in a separate video of the mountain. The couple clearly knows how to have a good time. It’s a hilarious set of videos, and definitely worth the watch if you want a good laugh and some cool views.

Hawk’s ‘Blue Bloods’ Character Initially Didn’t Have a Name

Abigail Hawk’s character, Abigail Baker, is an essential part of Blue Bloods. However, in the beginning, she didn’t have much of a name or story. Tom Selleck made sure to change that.

“Originally, she did not have a last name. She did not have an age, she did not even have a gender, she did not have a race, she did not have an anything,” Hawk told Starrymag earlier this year. “She was Either detective Mel or Melissa. So, no first name. Definitely not my first name.”

Thankfully, Selleck was having none of that.

“I got the role and about two to three episodes in Tom [Selleck] decided to change it to Abigail because he thought Melissa was too ordinary, which I guess is a compliment – so I’ll take it. Then he cleared with the lawyers the last name Baker. He obviously thought it was very important for me to have a last name since I was a person on the show. So, they gave me a full-fledged identity and that was all him,” the Blue Bloods actress explained.

Now, over a decade later, Abigail Baker still serves an incredibly important role in the series. You can catch Hawk’s work on Blue Bloods this fall. The series makes its anticipated return on Friday, October 10th on CBS.
