Blue Bloods star Abigail Hawk knows how nature and enjoying a vacation spent outside on a horse near a remote mountain town scrubs the soul.
Hawk portrays Abigail Baker on Blue Bloods. And on Saturday, she posted a series of photos from her recent vacation to Mohonk Mountain House, a resort in New York’s Hudson Valley. You can see Hawk, with her husband, Brian Spies, riding a horse and paddling a kayak. In one snap, she’s standing outside a fence. You can see a horse eating behind the fence. But there’s also a sign that says “Caution, I may bite.” No, thank you.
And the collection also shows off a soothing, smooth lake and a lush, leaf-covered walkway.
The Blue Bloods star captioned her collection: “A necessary respite from it all and a necessary reminder that together we have all we need.”
Blue Bloods Star Adores the Outdoors, Like All of Us
Hawk loves outdoor adventures. She often shares scenes from the places she visits, whether it’s a beach or a lake.
Let’s take a peek at some of her other Instagram posts.
A day ago, the Blue Bloods star posted a video clip with the caption: “Journey with us as we attempt the Labyrinth and Lemon Squeeze of Mohonk Mountain!” It’s billed as one of the “most memorable outdoor experiences in the Hudson Valley or anywhere else.” When you get through Lemon Squeeze, you can stand on the ledge and enjoy the panoramic views of Mohonk Preserve.
She’ll be back to work soon enough. Blue Bloods premieres on Oct. 1. It’s a steady Friday night presence for CBS. The show started production on season 12 last month.
Show’s Season 12 Premiere is Oct. 1
And the show producers did confirm a piece of character news. TV Insider says that Joe Hill (Will Hochman) still won’t be a permanent part of the Blue Bloods cast for the upcoming season. Hill is the grandson of Frank Reagan (Tom Selleck). However, the family didn’t know that Hill existed until the end of season 10. In the Blue Bloods backstory, Frank’s oldest son, Joe, was killed by bad cops. Joe Hill is Joe Reagan’s son.
Still, Kevin Wade told TV Insider that Hochman as Hill could be in some season 12 episodes of Blue Bloods.
“We’d like to be able to weave him in and out of stories,” Wade said. “He obviously has a great chemistry and connection to our cast, and my anecdotal evidence is that the audience really liked what he brought to the show. He has a fresh relationship with the characters that they’ve been with for 11 years.”
In other Blue Bloods news, Bridget Moynahan, who plays Erin Reagan, has a side project to her TV show. Moynahan first came to fame when she played Mr. Big’s second wife, Natasha, on HBO’s Sex and the City. Moynahan said she’d be open to playing her character again in the series revival called And Just Like That.
Moynahan was spotted last month on set of the new HBO series. Page Six reported that Moynahan was dressed in costume and wearing a wedding ring.
